 Unit/Facility: Transmission line during Pakse Substation to Xepian-Xenamnoy line No1&2 was
tripped by distance relay protection trip then CB 80112, 80122,80222, 80232.
 Summary:
 Distance relay TL Pakse-Xepian line1 trip at 79.3 Km and Pakse-Xepian line2 trip at 94.3 Km
protection system worked by commanding to trip CB 80112, 80122,80222, 80232 after that Auto-
Recloser 3 pole worked by commanding CB 80122 reclosed.
 Events (time-based):
 Root Cause/Action Taken:

 230kV TL 1 earth fault area: Fault recorder show earth fault at distance 79.3 km
 230kV TL 2 earth fault area: Fault recorder show earth fault at distance 94.3 km

- 22:47 Pakse Substation had CB 80112, 80122, 80232, 80222 Line trip
- 22:48-22:49 Check function System
- 22:49-22:50 Call to shift charge (Power House)
- 22:50-22:51 Call to NCC (EGAT) that had Transmission line during Pakse-Xepian was tripping
- 22:51-22:53 Reset Relay protection system all panel
- 22:57 Open CB 80122 commanded by Mr. Khen (Shift Charge)
- 23:05 Close CB 80112, 80122 commanded by Mr. Khen (Shift Charge)
- 23:30 Close CB 80232, 80222 commanded by Mr. Khen (Shift Charge)

 Attachment:
1. Alarm List Show During Tripping
2. Check Trend about load during tripping
- In during tripping Pakse substation had receiving and sending four Circuits
3. Resetting protection panel.

Reset by pressing At LED all protection panels that is doing alarm and then reset Lockout Relay by
button at Protection Panel Then we can command to close CB on SCADA step by step.

Note: After Reset all protection panels of TL PSE-XPXN 1&2 after that we did switching order normally
