POPULAR 'INDUSTRIAL' QUICK CONNECT NIPPLE/PLUG PROFILE CHART
Quick Connect Couplings are a fast and easy means of joining various pneumatic and fluid transfer lines. An automatic shut-off valve
in the coupler end allows the quick connects to be disengaged without needing a separate ball or line valve. The size of the inlet thread
is a good indication on the proper coupler size to use in order to maximize feasibility and flow. A short (3-10 ft) lead-in or whip hose
coupled with solid male NPT ends will prolong coupler life as it will absorb vibration and reduce metal fatigue. You can differentiate
between various Interchange Series by observing the differences in the nipple/plug nose (see the below "Actual Size Profile Chart")
as well as with differences in the coupler sleeve. These quick connects will interchange with many popular brand names, such as:
Amflo, Aro, Camel, Cejn, Coilhose, Dill, Dixon, Foster, Hansen, Lincoln, Milton, Nycoil, Parker, Perfecting, Schrader, Tomco, and Truflate

STANDARD INDUSTRIAL INTERCHANGE QUICK CONNECT COUPLERS 390
Our Industrial Interchange Quick Connects have plated steel, brass, or stainless couplers with hardened steel balls, stainless springs,
and Buna-N seals (other seals are available on special request). The nipples are heat treated to reduce wear on critical mating
surfaces and the maximum working pressure is 300 psi in all sizes (3/4" body are 220 psi). For higher pressure Industrial Interchange
see the following page. Brass are non-sparking and provide greater corrosion resistance over steel, but being a soft metal the brass
will wear more quickly than the steel. Those part numbers with a " * " are available in retail display packs (carded).

TUTHILL HANSEN PREMIUM INDUSTRIAL INTERCHANGE "PUSH-TO-CONNECT" 389PC
These are rugged, fully automatic, push-to-connect industrial brass couplers that will mate with standard Industrial Interchange Nipples
(on the previous page). They differ from standard industrial couplers in that they can be connected with one hand by simply pushing
the plug into the coupler (do not have to pull back the sleeve). To disconnect, the sleeve must be disengaged. These couplers are also
available with a special "sleeve lock bearing" that prevents the coupler sleeve from being accidentally disengaged (use suffix -SL). All
sizes have a brass body, zinc plated steel valve, stainless springs, stainless balls, and a Buna-N seal (other seals are available on
request). Popular sizes are listed, but many others are available. They can be used with air, low pressure air breathing, gases, and
liquids; 1/4" body is rated for 2,000 psi, the 3/8" for 1,000 psi, the 1/2" are 500 psi, and the 3/4" are 220 psi.

to abuse, dragging, pressures, etc. They are typically used in abusive environments and provide a "middle-of-the-road" cost
alternative between the standard Industrial Quick Connects and the "Push-to-connect" listed above. The couplers have a brass body
with a nickel plated sleeve, zinc plated steel valve, stainless springs, stainless balls, and a Buna-N seal (other seals available on
request). The couplers are also available with a special "sleeve lock bearing" that prevents the coupler sleeve from being accidentally
disengaged (use suffix -SL). Plugs are made of heavy duty, zinc plated, case hardened steel. Popular styles are listed below, other
sizes and interchange (i.e. Automotive, Aro, Lincoln, etc.) are available.

CEJN PREMIUM INDUSTRIAL INTERCHANGE QUICK CONNECTS 388
These are similar to standard Industrial Interchange, but offer a heavier duty body for added resistance to abuse, dragging, pressures,
etc. They are typically used in abusive environments and provide a "premium quality" alternative between the standard Industrial Quick
Connects and the "Push-to-connect" listed in this section and conform to ISO 6150 B and A-A 59439 (former MIL spec C-4109). The
couplers have a zinc plated brass body with an easy-to-grip sleeve, zinc plated steel valve, stainless springs, stainless balls, and a
Buna-N seal (other seals available on request). The plugs are made of heavy duty, zinc plated hardened steel. They are rated for
230psi.
Temperature Range: -20°C (-4°F) to +100°C (+212°F)

PUSH-BUTTON SAFETY QUICK COUPLERS 390

These safety quick couplings represent the latest generation of pneumatic connection safety mechanisms. They are desiged to
eliminate the whiplash that sometimes happens when disconnecting an airline. To disconnect, a single press on the button instantly
releases the downline presure avoiding any risk or accidents when uncoupling the plug & coupler. These couplers conform to safety
standards of ISO 4414, DIN EN 983 & RoHS directive 2002/95/CE. They have a lightweight compact composite sleeve that helps avoid
any damage to more fragile surfaces (i.e. body work, tooling, computer hardware, etc), their internals are steel with RoHS compliant
anti-corrosion treatment (hose end style has an aluminum barb), and they have a Buna-N seal. They are rated for 175psi.

HIGH-FLOW INTERCHANGE (EUROPEAN HIGH FLOW) 390H
These were designed to provide users with more flow in a compact 1/4" body quick connect without having to jump up to a 3/8" body.
They provide up to 50% more air flow than conventional 1/4" couplers and with minimal pressure drop (less than 2 psi). They are ideal
for air powered paint spray equipment, sanders, grinders, and other high air volume tools up to 300psi (maximum air flow is 37 SCFM
@ 100psi). They will interchange with CEJN 320/420, Rectus 25KA/26KA/27KA, Megaflow, and other European high-flow couplings.
They are not for use in air breathing applications. Couplers have a solid brass body and a hardened steel sleeve.

BRASS STEAM QUICK CONNECTS 393S

These are designed for use with steam on recapping machines, vulcanizers, etc. up to 100psi at 3380F (1700C). They are made from
solid brass bar stock with plated steel oversize sleeves for convenient operation with gloves. Internal parts are stainless steel and
solid brass with EPDM seals. Both the coupler and plug are valved to prevent pressure loss if accidentally disconnected; however, DO
NOT disconnect while under pressure due to the potential dangers when using steam. For dust cap and dust plugs, use our NS19 &
NS14 series listed with the NS10 quick connects.

GAS-MATE INTERCHANGE
These are one-way shut-off safety couplings for use with various fuel vapours such as natural gas, manufactured gas, liquified
petroleum, and LP gas-air mixtures not in excess of 1/2 psig (meets CSA standard ANSI Z21.41b-2010/CSA 6.9b-2010). They are used
for the connection of gas cooking appliances and other gas-fired devices. The plug has a heat sensitive actuator that can stop gas
flow in the event of a fire. They have a brass body, stainless locking balls, and a viton O-ring (1-1/4" size is a push-to-connect for
indoor applications only).

STRAIGHT-THROUGH QUICK CONNECTS 392
These couplers and plugs have a smooth, straight-through bore (NO valves) to permit maximum flow. They are commonly used for hot
water supply lines for carpet cleaners and for pressure washers. They are made from solid brass, steel, or 303 stainless bar stock
and the couplers have stainless springs and balls. Note the below pressure ratings (steel plugs with a brass coupler are the most
common) and DO NOT disconnect while under pressure (no valves). The couplers are also available with a special "sleeve lock
bearing" that prevents the coupler sleeve from being accidentally disconnected. Replacement O-rings on next page.

FD69 SERIES "ARC LATCH" WATERBLAST QUICK CONNECTS 049W
These quick connects are designed for long service life in rugged high-pressure and waterblast applications up to 10,000 psi. The
safety sleeve lock guards against accidental disconnection while the smooth bore design permits greater flow while maintaining a low
pressure drop. The "Arc Latch" design has greater surface contact area inside the coupler when attached to the nipple than the
conventional ball latch. They are available in either plated steel or stainless steel for added corrosion resistance and come standard
with Buna-N O-Rings (-40° to +250°F) Viton or EPDM O-Rings are also available. FD69 Series will interchange with Parker WB Series
quick connects, but being a critical application, caution must be taken and we recommend not interchanging. A replacement seal kit is
available, which includes a Buna-N O-ring and a heavy duty back-up ring.

Flo-Temp quick connects provide maximum flow required to cool injection molds and are suitable for use with hot water, hot oil, or a
water-glycol solution. Plugs are compact so that they can be easily recessed below the mold surface to avoid damage when the mold
is being changed or stored. The standard couplers are non-valved for maximum flow, but a valved coupler is also available if an

Our acetal quick connects are for air, beverages, potable water, ink, mild chemicals, medical equipment or other applications where an
all metal disconnect is not desirable. They are suitable for vacuum or up to 120psi and a temperature range of -400C (-400F) to +820C
(1800F). They are available in a full flow, non-valved body or with a valved body for automatic shut-off. They consist of a white acetal
body (NSF approved) and valve, 316 stainless internal spring, black Buna-N seal, and the external springs, pin, and latch are stainless
steel. This style of quick connect is also available in polypropylene, polysulfone or chrome plated brass. These fittings conform to
listing requirements of NSF standard C-2 for food applications.

These are stainless steel, specialty quick connects that are functionally identical, but do not interchange so they can be used where
it is necessary to avoid crossing lines. For identification, the 2-HKIG couplers have a white acetal ring and the 2-HKIL have a black

Our NS10 series quick connect couplings are a popular, general purpose industrial interchange coupling that can be used with
hydraulic fluid, water, certain chemicals, gases, and steam (must be refitted with an EPDM or Viton seal when used with steam). Our
NS10 Series are compatible with Parker series 60, Safeway S10 Series, Dayco QDl Series, Snaptite 72 Series, Hansen HK Series,
Aeroquip FD-45 Series, Perfecting H Series, and many others. These quick connects feature a double shut-off poppet, Buna-N seal
(-20F to +212F, other seals are available), and with a steel, brass, or stainless body. The coupler has a one-way sleeve and all sizes
meet ISO 7241-1 Series B interchange and performance requirements. Also available with safety sleeve locks and SAE ORB or BSPP

N71 HYDRAULIC QUICK CONNECTS 049S
Our N71 series interchange with Snaptite 71-3 and 71-2 (except 1" size) Series quick connects. These are a unique, high end, heavy
duty, flush face, push-to-connect, coupling designed specifically for rugged, "high impulse" applications. For high impulse applications,
the rated working pressure of these couplings is reduced to about x.60 of the below static working pressures. The couplers have
extra large flow chambers for high flow and a low pressure drop. The maximum recommended connect/disconnect pressures are:
300 psi for 1/8"-1/4", 150 psi for 3/8"-3/4", 75 psi for 1"-1-1/4", and 0 psi for 1-1/2"-2".
Standard parts have a Buna seal, NPT thread (SAE/ORB on special request, EF as suffix rather than F) and the bodies are plated steel.
Bodies are also available on special request from the factory in lower pressure 316 stainless (prefix of NS rather than N) and high
pressure 316 stainless steel (prefix of NSH). All types also available with an optional sleeve lock (suffix SL) on special request from
the factory. The 'new' 71-3 Series (in sizes 3/8" thru 3/4") will interchange with the old 71-2 Series, but they will not interchange with
the 1" 71-2 size (listed separately below, 71-2 in 1" size can be supplied on special order from the factory). Replacement seal kits are
available for both coupler (#N71-3Cxx-SPK) and nipple (#N71-3Nxx-SPK).

These will interchange with Snaptite H series, Perfecting V series, Faster TNV series, Tuthill TH Series, and PCI TNV series. The
special 2-piece body permits a large flow passage thereby permitting greater flow while maintaining a low pressure drop. Both the

higher corrosion resistance as compared to standard plated steel. The are designed to exceed 400 hours in the ISO Salt Spray test

Saturn Blocks are often seen on mobile construction equip-
ment, such as skid steers and excavators (not Bobcat M Se-
ries machines). They are equipped with ISO 16028 interchange
couplers & nipples and come with #12 Male JIC connections for
pressure line and #6 ORB for drain line. Saturn Blocks offer the
ability to drain the residual pressure before connection and
disconnection, allowing the connection without pressure and

5100 HYDRAULIC CONNECT-UNDER-PRESSURE QUICK CONNECTS 049
Eaton Aeroquip 5100 series quick connects allow for connection and disconnection while lines are still under pressure (up to 500 psi).
The time tested tubular valve and poppets internal design provide positive fluid shut-off (check valves in both the male and female
sections) and permit virtually no fluid loss upon disconnection (as well as minimal air inclusion). When the coupling sections are
brought together, projections on the ends of each check valve serve to move the other check valve off its seat, allowing oil to flow in
either direction. If the coupling is not tightly made, one or the other of these check valves may not be properly lifted off its seat. Under
this circumstance, oil would flow in one direction but not in the other when the pressure is relieved on the feed side. Even with no oil
leaks, this dangerous buildup of pressure can occur when the fittings are one turn or less from fully installed. This is a hazard in the
mining, construction and industrial sectors, and wherever hydraulic equipment is used. If the connection of a quick-connect coupling
is not made completely tight, one of the internal check valves within the coupling may trap hydraulic pressure behind the check valve.
The absence of any leaking oil around the coupling is not an indication that the coupling has been made completely tight.
The coupler half is available with either a wing nut (5100) or an optional hex nut (5110) and the nipple is available with a flange (5100-
S4, optional) or without a flange (5100-S2, standard). These quick connects are compatible with Parker 6100 series, Snaptite 78
series, Hansen 96 Series, and Faster FB series. They have a brass body, zinc plated wingnut, stainless springs, and a Buna-N seal
(other sizes and seals are available). Repair kits are available on request (Part # FF098-Size), each kit will repair male and female

They are similar in design as the 5100 Series quick connects but offer a higher working pressure and are designed for high impulse
applications. They are also made of steel vs brass. The time tested tubular valve and poppets internal design provide positive fluid
shut-off (check valves in both the male and female sections) and permit virtually no fluid loss upon disconnection (as well as minimal

Connect-Under-Pressure Quick Connects Warning
An improperly installed quick connect can result in severe injury to personnel or damage to property. Extreme care must be
taken in selection and use of such a product. The following guidelines will reduce the chance of quick connect failure:
1) Ensure that both sections are in good condition, that the threads for the locking sleeve are clean, and that there are no
restrictions to prevent the full threading of the locking sleeve onto the male section of the coupling. The quick-connect
coupling must be made completely tight.
2) Always assume that there may be pressure behind a fitting. Keep your body out of the line of any potential trajectory. Do
not bend over or position yourself in front of any fittings being removed from equipment.
3) Avoid the use of fittings with check valves whenever possible. In particular these types of fittings should not be used for
stretching punch press tie rods.

WS SERIES STANDARD & BOP QUICK CONNECTS 049A
These will interchange with Snap-Tite 75 Series. They are used in oil field and offshore oil rig applications and are offered in a standard
series as well as a BOP (Blow-Out Prevention) model for hazardous service where couplings are required to operate under fire
conditions in an emergency. The BOP models have been fire tested and are Lloyd's certified to 700 deg/C (1300 deg/F) in accordance
with API 16D. The BOP models are individually marked with the BOP series designation and manufacturing date code.

BOP SAFETY QUICK CONNECTS (ISO 7241-1 SERIES B)
These BOP series quick connect couplings are designed specifically for high temperature hazardous BOP (Blow-Out Preventer)
service in the Oil & Gas industry. The BOP designation is clearly marked on the coupler & nipple and is easily identified by its red
coloured sleeve and nipple wrench flats. The couplers come standard with a sleeve lock which prevents accidental disconnection.

NS30 EXTREME PRESSURE THREAD-TO-CONNECT 042J
Our NS30 series are an extreme pressure quick connect (10,000 psi) that are commonly found on hydraulic jacks, rams, power packs,
and other ultra-high pressure equipment. They are interchangeable with similar couplings in the same size, regardless of the valve
style (they are considered an Industrial Hydraulic Interchange so they will not interchange with some Automotive styles). Poppet
valving improves sealing, increases burst pressure, and provides less flow restriction (ball or poppet type checks are interchange-
able, however ball & poppet type are not designed for use with each other and may affect performance). Compatible with Parker 3000

FD35 SERIES EXTREME PRESSURE JACK HOSE QUICK CONNECTS

Eaton FD35 series quick connects are designed for high pressure applications such as on hydraulic jacking equipment commonly found
in construction, railway maintenance and house moving industries. They are considerably faster to use than the traditional thread-
together jack hose quick connects. They have a large number of locking balls to distribute the work load evenly while providing
alignment and swiveling action to reduce hose torque and prolong hose life. (CAUTION: These products are not to be used as
swivels. Rotation under pressure will result in excessive and premature wear). Eaton FD35 Series are compatible with
Parker TC Series Jack Hose Quick Connects. They are made from solid steel barstock and have a Viton seal with a Teflon back-up ring.
