Rationale and Course Description
Art Appreciation is a 3 unit course that develops students’ ability to appreciate,
analyze and apply knowledge. It covers the different function of art and rediscovering
the Philippines arts.
Learning Outcomes
In this course, the students should be able to:
a. Understand the role of arts in human life, in culture and society.
b. observe the art criticism and analyze art work.
c. create some art works to produce good design to be exhibit.
d. Incorporate the value of art in their personal life experiences.
e. Articulate knowledge about prominent Filipino artist, their lives and their work
f. Understand, identify and apply the basic elements in music.
g. Develop a good taste of music and demonstrate the piece.
