March/April ASB Report

During the months of March and April, Derek and I have been at work recording and

getting things ready for our biggest project.

Recording:

Derek and I have been getting in touch with people we know from various sports to find

out all their busy schedules and when we can record. Its been a bit more difficult with myself

having tennis after school and Derek taking serval spring breaks but we still are managing to

make it work.

End of year video:

A big part of the end of the year video is the photos of freshman to senior year transition.

We’ve contacted Ms. Ochoa regarding the best way to go about getting digital copies of senior

photos and are hoping we can also get digital copies of freshman ones. Once we get those in

order we will have to track down the people that moved to Ripon after freshman year and see if

they have access to their freshman year photos from the previous school.

Events:

Derek and I set up the sound and projector system for 8th-grade day. We played music

and recorded the entire event.

Training:

Derek and I have been showing Spencer the ropes for setting up the sound and projector

in preparation for next year. We also plan to show him the basics of video editing as we work on

the end of the video.

My Mentor Anthony has been very helpful in guiding me through everything regarding

mock interviews that are coming up. He’s been showing me how I should have my website set up

and has helped me through my problems getting documents uploaded.

One concern I’ve had for leadership is the lack of determination. Ive noticed that as the

year gets closer to it’s end many people stoped looking for the purpose in what they are doing.

Assignments have just become busy work rather focusing on whats being done and how it’s

helping my future.

A positive comment I have about leadership this past few months is respect from the

class. Whenever someone is talking or presenting information to the class, I have noticed great

respect and attention from my fellow classmates.

A change I would like to see is for our sophomore class to bond and grow together as a

whole. Ive seen many small groups and connections between people in our class but us as a

whole is not well built. I hope we can learn to appreciate one another and all become closer as

other the other classes are.

An impactive ive been making to do my part in bettering the world is trying go reflect

kindness and gratitude shown towards me. Anytime someone is kind to me or preforms a random

act of kindness I make sure pass it along to someone else throught my day.
