Exploring:
I do feel that I am very self-aware and therefore, aware of my own personal biases.
This helps me to be a more relatable teacher for all of my students. I take
responsibility for my students’ academic success by monitoring it with informal
and formal assessments that are done often. I do feel that I am supportive to my
English learners and my students with special needs. For instance, I created a
“brain box” for one of my special needs students, which contains items that seem
to settle his mind, such as counting cubes, a fidget spinner, a ten frame, etc. I have
never had to report child abuse luckily, but absolutely would if this ever were to
happen. I will always follow state and federal law regarding violent behavior,
sexual harassment, health, and safety. I believe I have strong integrity because
anything that I am doing in the classroom is for the students, and as long as that is
what I am passionate about and have goals with, then professional conduct and
integrity in the classroom and school community are a given. 9/25/20

Applying:
I take my job very seriously. I am committed to all of students’ learning needs and
continuously find ways that I can help them even further. I challenge my students
and scaffold as needed. I create a safe and fair environment for all students so that
they enjoy coming to school and learning. 5/3/21

Integrating:
I am passionate about working towards an anti-bias curriculum and feel that there
is always more learning to be done. I continuously try to educate myself on
different cultures and heritages, customs and traditions, politically, and
correct/culturally appropriate language and gestures. Oct 2022
