1 Construct the S-curve hydrograph using the 4-h UH. Hence
derive the 2 hr unit hydrograph. Area of the basin is 195.84 sq.km

PART B
7. Innovative question COs:3
Mr Ramesh is an Irrigation Engineer. He is required to develop a K: 4
remotely controlled device for farming which can
 measure infiltration rate after every watering.
 monitor soil health parameters.
 warn on low soil moisture.
6M
As students of hydrology and geotechnical engineering, help Mr Ramesh
by brainstorming the device by drawing the flow diagram and briefing the
working of the same.
( Hint- soil health parameters such as pH, N, P, K, microbes, nutrients,
organic matter, root health etc)
8. Case Study Question COs: 4
In the case study titled “Urban Flood Forecast System - A Case study of K: 4
Bangalore, India”, authored by Shubha Avinash et al., comprehend the
following
a) significant reasons for urban flooding in Bangalore 2M
b) working principle of Flood forecast system. 2M
c) case study at Sub basin in Koramangala Chellaghatta Valley. 2M
