Of army namely 121 Bn Garh Rifles on 27th April 1996 has filed his
affidavit wherein he has inter-alia stated that had had never
arrested the person and destroyed the family of petitioner on 27-4-
96.He has deniedte have conducted any search in this behalf on the
said date. The case appears to have been registered with respect to
missing of the person.
Further.Also because the outcome was not fruitful and already about
10 years had passed.

place was a surrendered rebel who had surrended before army and was

Thakur of 121 Bn INF through surrendered millitants on 27-4-1996
since then nothing is known about him.
Whereas the SSP Srinagar has furter reported that the
investigation of the cases has been closed as challaned agaisnr
Captian Criminal S R Thakur of 2 RR
Whereas CID J$K Govt confirmed that during verification it
came to knw that the person was lifted by the army in year 1996 and
since then his whereabouts remain unknown.
Therefore in the view of abouve circumstance said the person
is presumed to be dead. And the ex gratia of Rs. 1,00,000 be granted
in favour of NOK’s of the said murdered person.

Some unknown person came to me and told me that my son is presently
detained somewhere at Hazratbal and wants to see his parenrs, but
when I reached HazratBal I could not trace him out and since then I
do not know as to where he is detained- wheter alive or not

2. My said son is a Minor studying in &th class.
3. Lastly I saw him in a BSF vehicle near Jehangir chowk on a
fateful day in 1996
