Directions: Answer the following questions in essay form.
A. What are the different threats, risks, abuse, and misuse of social media
and information that affect you? Social media and information has a lot of
reach. Knowing this, some social media and information users see this as
a chance to incorporate different ways to abuse and misuse it to either
target someone or groups of people, create chaos, spread false
information, or the like. The different threats and risks that affect us include
the presence of fake news or fake accounts, spam and malware,
cyberbullying, identity theft, and other forms of cybercrime. Among these,
one of the biggest risks that face us everyday is the presence of fake news
and its propagators.
B. How can you provide a strong health care system for the public during a
pandemic using media information? Media information has been a big help in
handling the pandemic. To begin with, it has helped so much in keeping the public
aware and updated with the pandemic. To further improve this, media information
can be utilized to make healthcare more accessible for the people, may it be with
the help of social media where it can reach out to people that need access. It can
also be used to discuss any concerns with the current healthcare situation and
garner any support for it. Lastly, we can also utilize it to give ways on how we can
keep ourselves healthy and safe during the pandemic. It is given that healthcare
workers have a hard time in our current situation and using media information to
help them in any way means a lot.
