This study will greatly help the students to gain knowledge about the production and
utilization of root crop farmers in Torrijos, Marinduque.
Researchers
This study may help them as a guide and reference. They can also acquire knowledge for
the study they will make in the future.
Community
This study will help the community to gain more ideas about root crops production and
utilization.
This study was a descriptive survey in selected barangays of Torrijos involving the
production and utilization of local root crops. This research focuses on the production and
utilization of root crops available in different barangays.
This study used purposive sampling design, the respondents were the farmers who are
engaged in root crop production and utilization.

CHAPTER 3
This chapter presents the discussion on the research methodology of the study, the
subject/respondents, sampling technique, research instrument, procedure of data gathering, and
statistical treatment.
Research Methodology
The respondents of the study were the root crop farmers in different barangays in
Torrijos, Marinduque.

Research Instrument
The research instrument used in this study was survey questionnaire that were distributed
and asked to all of our respondents.
The data were gathered by handing the questionnaire to the responded and asked them.
Researchers take down notes the significant ideas and knowledge gave by the farmers. After
collecting the data, researchers combined the collected data, interpreted, and analyzed it.
All of our questions will use table and percentage to know the answers of the respondent.
