A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HON. CITY MAYOR ATTY. JAIME R.

FRESNEDI TO ENTER AND SIGN FOR THE MEMORANDUM OF
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF MUNTINLUPA AND
THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT
REPRESENTED BY MA. ALICIA S. BONOAN, REGIONAL DIRECTOR FOR
THE NATIONAL CAPTTAL REGION, PROVIDING FOR THE REPAIR AND
UPGRADING OF TWO (2) IDENTIFIED DAY CARE CENTERS lN THE CITY,
NAMELY 1} EMERALD DAY CARE CENTER IN BAGONG PARAISO,
BARANGAY BAYANAN; AND (21 BORACAY DAY CARE CENTER IN t=

WHEREAS, one of the vision of the preseht ad is for the

improvement of education of the children;

WHEREAS, on January 16, 2014 the Committee on Appropriations

conducted a public hearing regarding the proposed Memorandum Of Agreement
Between The City Government Of Muntinlupa And The Department Of Social
Welfare And Development Represented By Ma. Alicia S. Bonoan, Regional
Director For The National Capital Region, Providing For The Repair And
Upgrading Of Two (2) ldentified Day Care Centers ln The City, Namely 1)
Emerald Day Care Center ln Bagong Paraiso, Barangay Bayanan; And (2)
Boracay Day Care Center ln Bruger, Barangay Putatan;

WHEREAS, the City Government of Muntinlupa is the recipient of grant for

the fund augmentation for the repalr and upgrading of Day Care Centers in the
country of the Daycare of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) NCR -
through funds from Bases Conversion Development Authority;

WHEREAS, Two of our Day Care Centers will receive repair materials for
maximum cost of Two Hundred Thousand Pesos (Php200,000.00) for each
daycare centerQlthe counterpart of the Local Government of Muntinlupa will be

WHEREAS, the City Government

WHEREAS, the DSWD-NCR shall facilitate the utilization of the amount of

Two Hundred Thousand Pesos as augmentation fund for the construction and
repair and upgrading of Day Care Centers;

WHEREAS, the DSWD-NCR shall provide technical assistance and

conduct accreditation of Day Care Centers and Day Care Workers;

WHEREAS, the project will be implemented for the repair and upgrading
of Day Care Centers as stipulated under the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA);

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED,

by the 7th Sangguniang Panlungsod of Muntinlupa, to authorize the Hon. Gity
Mayor Atty. Jaime R. Fresnedi to enter and sign for the Memorandum of
Agreement (MOA) between the City Government of Muntinlupa and the
Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) represented by Ma.
Alicia S. Bonoan, Regional Director for the National Capital Region, providing
for the repair and upgrading of two (2) identified day Care Centers in the City,
Namely 1) Emerald Day care center ln Bagong Paraiso, Barangay Bayanan;
and (2) Boracay Day Care Center in Bruger, Barangay Putatan.

ADOPTED, by the 7th Sangguniang Pantungsod of Muntintupa this 20th

day of January 2014, on its 23'd RegularSession.
