Topic Title Mental Health
Duration 1 hour and 30 minutes
Session Objectives At the end of the session, the participants should be
able to:
a. define mental health;
b. cite different psychosocial support available for an
individual; and
c. realize the importance of giving support of individual
with mental health concern.
Materials Powerpoint presentation, video clip, paper, pen
Time Allotment
10 minutes Activity:

 The speaker will group the students into 4.

 Each group will be given issues relating to mental health.
The participants will share their thoughts about their
chosen mental health issue.

 Session objectives will also be presented.

15 minutes Review:
 Based on the activity, how will you define mental health?
 What is the importance of self-care?
 Why do we often fail at self-care?
50 minutes Analysis:
 The speaker will present early warning signs of mental
health problems as well as ways to maintain positive
mental health.
 What is the importance of giving support of individual
with mental health concern?
10 minutes Abstraction:
 The speaker will present images.
20 minutes Application:
 The students will try to fill in the following blanks in a
journal:
1. My favorite moment of the day was when
___________________.
2. Something I'm looking forward to tomorrow is
____________________.

10 minutes Wrap-up:
 To sum up the topic, the speaker will present a video clip
