These are the hazards we

observed on Domingo N. Vigo
Lack of machine guards
Machine Shop. We observe that the main hazards that the workers can encounter
are tripping in the pathway, injuries on the body, fire hazard, possible
electrocution from electrical wiring and hand injury of the workers from the
machines. The main reasons for these hazards are due to the path obstructions,
the improper wearing Personal Protective Equipment of the workers, lack of
firefighting equipment, faulty wiring and lack of safe guards on the machines. We
suggested that the machine shop should follow these advices to ensure the safety
of the workers inside the shop and to avoid these hazards to happen inside it,
these advises are; provide proper PPE to the workers. Clear the pathway from
obstruction. Put guards to the machine. Properly align and insulate the wirings
especially the electrical wires. Ensure that firefighting equipment are working and
place properly around the shop.
