Tajuk : Teaching Aids

1. ISU YANG DIFOKUSKAN :


The problem that I faced this week is on selecting the teaching materials for my year 2 Sinar pupils.
Selecting a proper teaching aid to use in PDPR is somehow new for me. Eventually, this caused me to take a
long time in choosing an appropriate teaching aid.

2. ANALISIS ISU YANG DIFOKUSKAN (PUNCA DAN KESAN ISU):


I used a normal power point presentation which caused the pupils to not show that much of interest in my
class. My cooperating teacher also have used the power point medium in all her classes before. I felt that the
pupils might expect something more interesting and extraordinary.

3. KAJIAN LAMPAU (LITERATURE REVIEW) TERHADAP ISU (PENGALAMAN ATAU KAJIAN LEPAS):
According to Ahmad Mohd Salleh (2008), the teaching aids consist of a variety of materials. Teaching aids
can be delivered in various ways. For example, teaching aids may be published in book form, in chart form
or placed on slide and transmitted to screen. The role of teachers in determining teaching and learning aids
is crucial. This is because the tools are a medium that can create stimulus and which will then act to develop
intelligence and experience.

4. CADANGAN DAN IDEA PENYELESAIAN MASALAH:


I need to take note of some criteria when preparing teaching aids to my Year 2 pupils which are:
1) The teaching aids should help to make the pupils more understand deeply on the content.
2) The teaching aids should be relevant to teaching and learning activities and relevant to the topics taught.
3) The teaching aids express an interaction and collaboration between pupils with teachers and pupils with
pupils.
4) The design of teaching aids should grab pupils’ attraction and boost their interest in learning.

I will consider more to these criteria so as to provide effective teaching aids and adapt to the level of my Year
2 Pupils.

8. KEBERKESANAN LANGKAH YANG DICADANGKAN :


I can choose and provide teaching aids that are appropriate to the pupil’s level by following the listed the
criterias. This will enhance creative thinking to create a teaching aid that promote pupils thinking ability. I
can use more creative platforms such as WordWall, Prezi, Quizziz, Canva, CoSpaces Edu and so on.

9. KESIMPULAN / REFLEKSI (KESAN TINDAKAN (PERLU) DAN HALANGAN (JIKA ADA):


Every teacher should prioritise teaching aids so that one could provide an effective teaching and learning
session. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare the teaching aids beforehand.
