Tajuk : Time Management

1.ISU YANG DIFOKUSKAN :


The issue that would be discussed in this journal is time management throughout my lesson. I identified that
some of my stages from the lesson plan could not be conducted as I planned.

2. ANALISIS ISU YANG DIFOKUSKAN (PUNCA DAN KESAN ISU):


Teaching Year 2 pupils who are not really exposed yet to a greater English background, requires me to spend
more time towards the presentation stage where the teacher has to explain each and everything with
examples. I also ask a lot of questions to make sure that the pupils understand. This makes me to not fully
follow the lesson according to the lesson plan. I felt that I have put too many activities in one lesson plan.

3. KAJIAN LAMPAU (LITERATURE REVIEW) TERHADAP ISU (PENGALAMAN ATAU KAJIAN LEPAS):
According to Cemaloğlu, NECATI and Filiz (2010), working as a teacher requires excellent time management
skills. He added that teachers need to balance the long-term goals of the classroom, the immediate
educational needs of the students and the large volume of paperwork that comes with every assignment.
This statement correlates with the situation that I have encountered with my class in where I faced problems
in implementing my lesson plan.

4. CADANGAN DAN IDEA PENYELESAIAN MASALAH:


Based on my experience, I decided to reduce activities in the lesson development stage. Instead of putting
three activities, I will conduct only two activities which are enough for the learning objectives to be fulfilled.
I also stopped waiting for the pupils to join my google meet. Usually, I tend to wait until most pupils join
the class even if the time is up. I stopped doing that so that my lesson will follow its flow.

6.TINDAKAN SUSULAN :
I always keep an eye on the time when I conduct my class so that my time management is better. I followed
all the suggestions listed above as time management is very significant for a teacher.

8. KEBERKESANAN LANGKAH YANG DICADANGKAN :


The solution was very effective as I was able to maintain a good time frame and complete my lesson according
to my lesson plan.

9. KESIMPULAN / REFLEKSI (KESAN TINDAKAN (PERLU) DAN HALANGAN (JIKA ADA):


In conclusion, I was really satisfied with the outcome of the suggestions.
