Due to the enhancement of transportation, tourism is no longer out of reach. Besides the
benefits it brings it is irrefutable that tourism take a serious toll on tourist areas, namely the
effects on enviroment. This essay will discuss those impacts and measurements that individuals
and authorities should take to alleviate the situation.
Undoubtedly, virtually every tourists has people with poor awareness concerning environment
protection. Those are the culprit of pollution in the environment in tourism hotspots, such as
garbage on rivers and streets, or permanent damage to natural sites. Despite the great tourism
revenue, governments also spend a significant amount on handling those environmetal
consequences of tourism. Besides, the development of tourism is followed by the increase use
of transportation. This is strongly indicated in most tourism sites, where recorded a remarkable
emission rate in peak seasons. In this light, it is apparent that tourism is detrimental for
environment.
Reversing those damage caused by tourism is vital, if not imperative, and achieving this
