Specifications for Motorization of Rolling Shutters in the FEL Complex.

Qty: 3 Sets.

I. General description and Scope of work :

The existing manually operated shutters in IRFEL High bay area & New Building area are to be
motorize as per the scheme suggested below in the figure below.

01. F (follow) Side Bracket. 07. Hand Chain.

02. Barrel. 08. Push Button Switch.
03. Shutter Case 09. Guide Rail.
04. Rolling Door Motor 10. Shutter Slat.
05. D (drive) Side Bracket. 11. Bottom Rail.
06. Rolling Chain.

The required Side Brackets (Item No. 1 & 5), Rolling Door Motor (Item No. 4) Rolling Chain
(Item No. 6), Hand Chain (Item No. 7), Push Button switch (Item No. 8) and any other
Hardware required for this motorization arrangement for existing manually operated
shutters are to be supplied installed, tested and commissioned by the supplier.

II. General Qualification:

The Supplier shall have the prior experience of such works. Supplier must provide the proof
of previous similar executed Orders in the format provided as Appendix 2. At least one such
system should have been installed and commissioned by the Supplier in the past three
years, and it should be working satisfactorily. The Purchaser reserves the right to contact
the purchaser for feedback, if required.
III. Bid Evaluation:

 The technical evaluation of the bid shall be on the basis of the Technical
Specification (TS).

 The commercial evaluation of the bid shall be on the basis of lowest landed cost to
PURCHASER. Cost includes the various items, freight charges, installation,
commissioning & testing at RRCAT.

 Bidder shall quote the cost of all items as a one set with Installation, Testing, Demo
etc.

 Item Make and Model No. shall be provided along with catalogue along with the
offer.

 Testing of the motorized shutters shall be done in the presence of the authorized
representative of the supplier after completion of installation and commissioning.

 All the Components and the Complete Installed System shall be Warranted for
minimum 24 Months from the date of installation, commissioning and acceptance at
RRCAT. This condition over-rides the warranty condition specified anywhere else in
the tender document and the annexures.

 The Supplier shall submit along with the quotation a fully filled compliance sheet
enclosed as Annexure- 1. Without a duly signed and stamped Compliance sheet, the
offer will not be considered for evaluation.

System. The required manpower, all the tools,
tackles, hardware and consumable required
for erection shall be provided by the supplier.

three shutters in the quotation.
10. Output Torque Suitable for the Three Shutter at Sl No. 6
Supplier shall specify the output torque in the
quotation.

Any other component required for implementation of the work is in the Supplier’s scope.
Supplier may specify and include any other component required for the successful
implementation of the work.
