RESOLUTION NO. 2020-07

“A RESOLUTION REALIGNING THE UNEXPENDED 2020 SK BUDGET FROM THE

ANNUAL BRGY. YOUTH INVESTMENT PLAN SPECIFICALLY THE ALLOCATED
BUDGET FOR SPORTS ACTIVITIES AMOUNTING TO SEVENTY THREE THOUSAND
NINE-HUNDRED NINETY THREE PESOS AND 54/100 (Php 73,993.54) TO BE REALIGNED
AND TO BE USED FOR PURCHASE OF 33 SACKS OF RICE IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19
CRISIS WHICH IS NOW CONSIDERED AS A GLOBAL HEALTH PANDEMIC TO BE GIVEN
TO THE 502 HOUSEHOLDS OF BARANGAY LIKI”

WHEREAS, on March 8, 2020, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte issued Presidential Proclamation No.
922, which placed the Philippines under a State of Public Health Emergency;

WHEREAS, on March 10, 2020, the World Health Organization declared the Coronavirus Disease
2019 (COVID-19) health event as a pandemic;

WHEREAS, the Philippines, by virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 929, Series of 2020, is placed
in a State of Calamity for a period of six months due to the alarming rise of COVID-19
cases in the country;

WHEREAS, on March 25, 2020, the Governor of Cebu declared the Province of Cebu under a state of
Enhanced Community Quarantine;

WHEREAS, Sec. 389 of RA 7160 otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991 which
provides the power, duties and functions of the barangay specifically paragraph 6
“Organize and lead an emergency group whenever the same maybe necessary for the
maintenance of peace and order, or on occassions of emergency or calamity within the
barangay”;
NOW THEREFORE, it has been moved by Hon. Esabela Armamento and seconded by all members
present, be it, agreed to realign the 2020 SK budget specifically the funds for sports
activities amounting to Php 73, 993.54;

RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the realigned budget shall be used for purchase of
33 sacks of rice in response to COVID-19 crisis to be given to the 502 households of this
Barangay;

RESOLVED FURTHER, that a copy of this Resolution be given to the Sangguniang Barangay of Liki,
Sogod, Cebu for their reference and record, and to the Offices of the Municipal Budget Officer
and Municipal Accountant for their information and record.
