1. Discuss briefly how verbal and non – verbal communication can influence people.

Women are more expressive when they use non-verbal communication, they tend to
smile more than men and use their hands more. Men are less likely to make eye contact
than women are. Men also come off as more relaxed, while women seem tenser.

2. Discuss how ethical communication could affect the communication process.

Being ethical means acting under the principles of morality or acting in good
moral standards. It is important to communicate ethically today because most
people are losing sight of what is right and what hurts other people. Other than that
there is also the thing of giving respect and being a respectable human being.

3. Study the image below. Do you agree? Why or why

not?

And yet, we spend so much time focusing on what and never enough time on the
how our body language speaks volume about who we are now we really about ourselves
and the people we interact with, and what were capable of delivering. Confidence, passion,
trust and so much more, are non- verbally communicated and have everything to do with
our ability to influence, convince, and get desired results.

4. In what way can modern communications enhance our competitiveness, accelerate

our national development, modernize and integrate our economy and our society,
improve our national efficiency and productivity and eliminate isolation of remote
and rural areas.

Rural economies can be benefited from ICT by focusing on social production, social
consumption and social services in the rural areas. This in return could promise better
economic opportunities as well as social inclusion of rural people in the processes of
governance.

5. Why should effective communication and the capacity to comprehend cultural

distinctions be extant in educators and students?

Effective communication can help to build and foster a safe learning environment

where students can thrive, prosper and learn. Furthermore, it has been proven that
supportive teacher-student relationships have a positive impact on class participation,
engagement and ultimately a student's achievements.
6. Write a brief account about a situation (which you encountered) that concerns
cultural sensitivity.

Cultural Sensitivity is important because it allows us to effectively function in other

cultures, allows us to respect and value other cultures, and can reduce cultural barriers
between professionals and their patients. It is important so that we can express our own
feelings on what we feel about it so that we can understand more and also if we don’t take
it seriously it can lead us to bad happening like arguing each other. Also we must not
forget that we must look for the other side too of the scenario not only in one thing.
