walk down for this event, but I was
Total to also stationed at a corner and
date: 2 helped motivate the walkers.
My favorite part was when we
had the boom sticks and Dr.
Haines had us do a rhythmic
dance with them as a group. It
was just a fun activity to do
before initiating the walk.
10/29/2020 2 Chippewa Watershed Conservancy For this, we got rid of multiple
clean-up plants damaging the watershed
Total to area. I did this without any
date: 4 friends from the PT program, so
I was with all people I had not
met previously. This motivated
me to engage in conversation
with new people and establish
some sort of relationship. I see
this as what I will see in the
clinic, making friendly
conversation and having fun
while doing it.
11/5/2020 3 Assisted a friend move into their My friend moved into a new
new apartment and put their desk apartment and I wanted to lend
Total to together a hand, so she reached out and I
date: 7 helped move. I also put together
her desk she struggled to put
together. After helping out, we
just relaxed and talked and
formed a stronger friendship as
a result. I enjoyed this quality
time a lot to get to know a
newer friend even better than I
had previously.

time and effort into putting it all

were working at a clinic for covid testing, I
Total to was asked to watch their dog,

their absence. I love dogs so
this was a fun opportunity to get
a better rapport with this
particular pup and I enjoyed
spending time with little
Jordyn!

group and helped set-up/takedown opportunity to see a little bit of
Total to life through the eyes of
date: 6 individuals battling
Parkinson’s. It really gave me
the opportunity to reflect on
what I can do to better assist
people in this population and
has definitely given me the
inclination to look further into
the neurological path of
physical therapy because all of
these people were absolutely
wonderful and all think so
positively, which is the type of
environment I want in my
future as a working clinician.
