Torque converter outlet pressure at low idle ... 345 to 483 kPa (50 to 70 psi)

Torque converter stall speed at operating temperature

773F ... 1842 ± 65 rpm

775F ... 1922 ± 65 rpm

Note: The 775F has torque limiting. The torque limiting feature protects the power train from
excessive torque loads during stall conditions in first gear and reverse. When the 775F is operated in
first gear or reverse, the chassis ECM communicates with the engine ECM in order to keep the engine
speed to 1831 ± 65 rpm. The stall rpm for the torque converter without torque limiting is 1922 ± 65
rpm. This can be measured by using the transmission stall test in the messenger and the advisor. Refer
to Service Manual, RENR8344, "Transmission Stall Test" for instructions on performing a
transmission stall test.
