What role do you think dance will play in your life after this course? How do you
believe participating in dance processes will benefit you physically, intellectually, socially,
and emotionally?
As mentioned by the instructional material that dance is even defined as a craft that make use
of body movements to express one’s thoughts and ideas. No matter of what age or abilities,
everyone dances and more often than not, a person involved in the industry of dance is
transformed into a disciplined and well-rounded individual. By dancing will help me improve my
physical, mental and social life. I will surely apply what I learned throughout the lessons I will gain
in this course, because I know dancing have long-term benefits.
One of the long-term benefits of dancing is on my physical health because it will increase my
strength, muscle function, balance, and flexibility, resulting in improved stability and fewer
injuries. This is beneficial because I dislike exercising, but because I enjoy music, it will motivate
me to improve my physical health. Dancing also has the potential to improve my cardiovascular
health, lowering my risk of heart disease for much better healthy living. It was also recommended
by doctors and confirmed helpful by professionals.
If dancing will help me be physically healthy, it will also help me to improve my mental health.
Experts claim that dancing helps to increase self-esteem and confidence by encouraging self-
expression and strengthening social skills. It also relieves stress and tension while lowering stress,
anxiety, and depression levels. If this is the case, dancing will help me express my feelings and
become more aware of how I feel. Because there is so much negativity around us these days, it
is especially important to strengthen our mental health through a variety of activities, including
dance. It was also stated that it helps to sharpen mind to be organize and memorize easily.
Dancing will also help me to interact with others because considering dance lessons and
classes as a simple and straightforward technique to achieve this goal. Taking dance lessons has
far-reaching social benefits, such as meeting new and intriguing people and acquiring new and
exciting abilities. Dance is a kind of exhilarating exercise that also has the added benefit of
allowing you to engage with others. I’m really shy so it takes a while to be comfortable but since
I do love music and love watching I feel it will be easy to me. Just to add the possibility that those
people have the same taste like me will be a good opportunity. To summarize, dance is a
beneficial work that can help us improve our lives by providing numerous benefits for our
personal development and social life. These have all been confirmed and tested by professionals.
