1. It will improve your health and skill related fitness
- Since dancing is a form of exercise, it definitely benefits your health, externally, and
internally. It's specifically a type of cardiovascular activity which can improve your
cardiovascular and muscular endurance, muscular strength, flexibility, balance, and
coordination. As one practices dancing frequently, it is expected that he/she will have a fit
figure because of the toning of muscles and by that, it can be easier for one to balance when
aiming to do difficult poses or steps.

2. It builds up your confidence and develops your social

skills
- Dancing improves one's figure which a lot of people are insecure of, but aside from that,
because it is such a diverse art form, it can build up his/her confidence by means of
socializing—the sense of community dance creates. A lot of dances today are performed in
groups or in pairs which is why a lot of friendships are formed too, which can boost one's
self-esteem. Dancing in group can also mold someone's leadership skills and cooperation
because his/her performance affects the whole group's.

3. It's a mood booster!

- Because of the energy it creates in your body, it can also release "happy hormones"
like serotonin and dopamine. Scientific explanations aside, it's simply because of the
feeling of moving your body to the every beat of the music or that light feeling you'll
have when expressing your emotions through dance.

Cheerdancing
Cheerdancing

Considering what I have already said in the first

activity, it contributes not only to our physical health,
but also social, emotional, and mental. Building the
passion on cheerdancing will make you look forward
on doing it, making stronger bonds with your
teammates as you make yourself stronger as well.
Getting the interest in doing this will make you
motivated in doing this routine which will eventually
lead to an active lifestyle. Having an active lifestyle
can already do so much in developing one's lifetime
fitness goals; it will affect the intensity of your
routines, the time you'll do them, and your overall
perspective of what a healthy and fit lifestyle is.
