the total charge enclosed in cylindrical volume following of radius 5mm and -10 < z <
10mm. [5 Marks]
Q # 2: CLO1-(C3) An illustration of a vector field is given in Figure 1 below. Explain with
reasoning about the z-component of curl at 𝑥 = 1, 𝑦 = 1. Is it positive (out of plane),
negative (into the plane), or zero? [5 Marks]

wires, and (b). Find force due to current 4 A flowing in wire 1. [5 Marks]

Q#6: CLO1 – (C3) For a vector field with an assumption that field is same in all planes parallel
to the field shown below. Will the divergence of field at 𝑂𝑟𝑖𝑔𝑖𝑛(𝑥 = 1, 𝑦 = 1) be zero,
negative, or positive? Explain your reasoning. Also, explain with reasoning about the z-
component of curl at 𝑥 = 1, 𝑦 = 1. Is it positive (out of plane), negative (into the
plane), or zero? [5 Marks]
