Desheng radio power supply DC-06A

Mine is PL230 and the power adapter is DC-06A, but it is broken.

I bought a DC-06 as replacement.

DC-06A data: AC input 220V, 50Hz, 10mA; DC output 6V, 300mA.

DC-06 data: AC input 220V, 50Hz, 32mA; DC output 6V, 300mA.

Will it be Burn the machine? Will it affect the machine if I use DC-06?

A: YES, no problem. Use it with confidence. I am still very familiar with Desheng's power supply.

The power adapter used by the Tecsun PL55O model can choose DC-06?
The original is DC-06D, now it is broken.

A: YES, no problem. Yes, they are all 6V outputs.

Dismantling and Analysis of DC-06 Power Adapter of Desheng PL-680 [Copy Link]

BA9BF  Published on: 01-14

I had nothing to do today, and after seeing the "DC-06 Radio Power Adapter" of the Tecsun
PL-680 radio on the table, I had the idea of dismantling it. Take it apart and take a look at the
workmanship and materials of this adapter that comes standard with the original Desheng
factory. Let me share with you what is unique about this very commonly used power adapter.

This power adapter can be used as a charger for PL-600/PL-660/PL-680 radios, or

as their external DC stabilized power supply. It is a universal power adapter.
The entire adapter is disassembled with only one cross self-tapping screw, which
is easy to disassemble. The internal circuit board is fixed by the thermal melting
point of a plastic pile head inside the plastic shell of the machine. The
manufacturer is really lazy. Playing slippery, saving the cost of a cross self-
tapping. A bit of a small workshop.
In the principle design of the whole adapter circuit, it is a typical linear regulated
power supply made of three-terminal regulator integrated block LM7806.

The 220V/AC power supply first enters an ordinary transformer of about 10 watts,
and the secondary side coil induces 11.6V/ AC alternating current, and then enter
the full-bridge rectifier circuit composed of discrete components 4*1N4001
diodes.

In order to save costs, only 2 ordinary 1000PF ceramic high-frequency filter

capacitors are used here (and the cost of 2 ceramic capacitors is saved.

After rectification, it enters the large pond of 1000uF/16v capacitor.

Followed by the LM7806 three-terminal voltage regulator integrated block for

voltage regulation (no heat sinks are added to the fixing screws, and the heat
dissipation is only tinned on the copper clad skin on the PCB board).

In order to make the output voltage higher than 6V/DC, which is convenient for
charging the rechargeable battery, the manufacturer has a special design here.

A 1N4001 diode is connected in series with the second pin GND of the voltage
regulator block, which increases the output voltage by 0.67V.

The output voltage of the third pin of OUT is 6.6V/DC.

After the voltage is stabilized, there is a red rectangular-shaped power supply

working normal indicator, a 330 ohm light-emitting diode current limiting resistor
is connected in series, and finally a 470uF/16V electrolytic capacitor is used for
final filtering.
The most incomprehensible thing is that the DC 6V/DC output plug of this DC-06
power adapter is the negative pole of the plug core, and the plug shell is the
positive pole.

It is just the opposite of the power supply polarity of the common standard plug.

At this point, when you are looking for a non-standard manufacturer's power
adapter for the PL-680 radio, you must carefully check the positive and negative
+ - polarities of the external power supply plug of the PL-680 radio.
In this disassembly test, the mains power supply used in the experiment is: 238.5V/AC Ulead
UT39C+ digital multimeter.

A Phillips screwdriver.

The measured data obtained from the DC-06 power adapter are as follows:
Transformer no-load current: 19.2mA Dynamic maximum current (PL-680 is turned on, the
volume is turned on to the maximum and normal listening) is: 28.6mA

The measured parameters of the PL-680 radio are:

Standby current: 0.2mA
startup quiescent total current: 48mA in FM mode, 61mA after the LCD panel backlight is on
(the net current consumption of the LCD panel backlight is about 13mA).
AM mode 76mA volume turned on to the maximum total dynamic maximum current: FM mode
276mA AM mode 266mA measured data

The current consumption data of the PL-680 radio after it is turned on and off is very close to
the electrical performance parameters described in the original operating instructions.
In addition, after the PL-680 radio takes out the 4-cell battery pack in the cabin, the
parameters such as time, power-on time, and stored channels displayed on the LCD panel
will not be lost within 1 hour, that is to say, the host
The interior can continue to keep data from being lost. If the dry battery in the cabin runs out
of power, you can replace it with a new one with confidence.

The above measured data of Tecsun PL-680 radio and DC-06 power adapter will be shared
with HAM using Tecsun radio as a reference. If there is something wrong, you can continue to
discuss with each other. In order to play the Desheng radio more smoothly and play a greater
role.
