I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, every pupil
a.) identifies action words in oral and written exercises.
b.) finds enjoyment in the activity
c.) matches the correct action words in a sentence.

III. LEARNING PROCEDURES

A. PRELIMINARY ACTIVITIES

1. Prayer/ Greetings/ Checking of Attendance

Reading the words in the chart

Isulti kung ang mga pulong ngalan sa Tao, Lugar, Butang o Hayop.

4. Motivation

Teacher will present a video clip showing a performance of a differently- abled


performers.

After watching the video clip, teacher will ask:


- What did you see in the video?
- What are the performers doing?
- What can you say about the performers? Their performance?

B. DEVELOPMENTAL ACTIVITIES

1. ACTIVITY
Let the pupils identify the actions they perform in the song they are singing.
Present and explain the new topic: Action Words
Teacher will show video clips to the class and let the children tell what each one is
doing.
(10 Video clips showing)
1. washing face 6. kissing the baby
2. taking a bath 7. drawing a heart-shape
3. combing hair 8. crying
4. brushing teeth 9. eating
5. smiling 10. running

After the video clip presentation, explain that the movements presented are action
words, the word tells what something or someone does.

Game: Pinoy Henyo – Let the pupils play a game. ( Teacher will call two pupils. One
pupil will act the action word and the other will guess. Teacher will call another
pair of pupils to participate.)
Words to guess for each pair:
1. sleep - sing
2. walk - cook
3. swim - fly

2. ANALYSIS
Teacher will show a picture and let the pupils say a sentence about the picture. Teacher will
write the sentences on the board and let the children read the sentences aloud. Let the pupils
analyze
the sentence and identify the action words.

1. Si Ana nanudlay.

2. Nagluto og pamahaw si nanay.

3. Si Yana nagbasa ug libro.

Ask: What do you call these words that tell what something or someone does?
Call a pupil to repeat the question and select a classmate to answer it. (Pupil to pupil
interaction)

3. Abstraction
Ask: Unsa ang Punglihok.? Call a pupil or a volunteer to answer.
Then let pupils read the meaning of an action word.
Ang Punglihok nagsulti sa mga lihok nga gihimo sa nagbuhat sa maong lihok.

4. APPLICATION
Group Activity
Teacher will group the pupils into 4 groups. Each group will choose a leader
and a secretary. After giving instructions and giving the standards in group activity, teacher will
then distribute the activity to the group leader.

Group 1 (Basic Group)


Sulod sa sobre adunay mga hulagway. Pilia ang hulagway nga nagpakita ug punglihok
o action word ug idikit kini sa Manila Paper.

Group 2 (Average Group)


Lingini ang tama nga punglihok sa hulagway.

nagtanom nanilhig

nagkanta nagsayaw

nagluto naglaba

Group 3 (Fast Group)


Isulat ang punglihok nga gipakita sa hulagway.
