At the end of the lesson, the students are able to:


a. define adjectives;
b. identify the adjectives used in the sentence
c. use adjectives in differentiated learning activities.

B. Lesson Proper

1. Engage
Mystery Box

The teacher will bring box to the


class with objects inside it. Then, a
volunteer will be called to describe
the hidden object using his/her
five senses. Through the given
descriptions she will guess what
the mystery object is.

Sample objects:
1. rock/stone hard, rough, irregular shape
2. cotton smooth, soft
3. nails short, hard, pointed, rough
4. ballpen hard, rough, pointed
5. cloth silky, hard

Therefore, what is adjective?

The students may give correct or incorrect


response.The teacher has to accept it and will be
corrected upon the presentation of the video clip.

viewing, you’re going to answer some

1. Each group must select a leader and a


secretary?
2. The secretary will write the name of the
members in a ¼ sheet of paper.
3. Each group is given only 5 minutes to
prepare and another 3 minutes to present.
4. Be creative with your output.
5. Members should cooperate with the group.
6. Do not hesitate to ask questions or any
clarifications if needed.

Create a pageant show then use adjectives in
presenting yourself to the crowd.

Conduct dialogue with your group members, then
take turn in describing each other by telling the
class his/her physical features, attitudes and
values, and likes and dislikes.

b. Abstraction Make a 2 stanza poem, 4 liner and underline the
adjectives that you used.

6. The little girl painted her bedroom bright pink.
7. The preschoolers are coloring the trees purple and
blue.
8. The jury declared the defendant guilty.
9. We voted her entry most original.

10. Studying grammar makes me happy.
