The three Friends came to the gym, while training they realize the equipment is damaged. Jeshua: hey have you guys seen this? It’s broken we could’ve hurt ourselves if I didn’t notice it. Carlos: True, this is unacceptable. We are paying quite a high fee. Ruben: Yes, that means we should have appropriate equipment, let’s call someone. Ruben goes to find an employee and to complain about the equipment’s condition. Ruben: excuse me, that equipment is in poor condition, it can be dangerous for us to use it like that. Employee: I’m so sorry, we didn’t notice let me ask the staff to remove it, so no one else tries to use it. Jeshua: That was dangerous, I could have hurt myself if I didn’t realize it in time. Carlos: You can’t risk making that type of mistakes. Everyone is paying a high fee to use appropriate equipment; we want to talk to your manager. Employee: You are right, I’m sorry. Employee: they are very frequent and loyal customers; we can give them a discount for the problem. Manager: that’s right, let’s go. Manager: we will give you a discount in next month’s fee, for putting you through this situation Jeshua: okay, we agree with that option thanks for understanding. Ruben and Carlos: thanks!! Ruben and Carlos arrive to the hospital complain about a bad practice in Ruben’s surgery. They approach to the receptionist for help. Carlos: Good morning, I need to talk to the doctor that oversaw my brother’s surgery. Receptionist: You must wait. I’m busy. Ruben: I’m not sure I can wait any longer, please, the injury is infected. Receptionist: I said you must wait. Please sit down. Carlos: ok fine but help us as soon as possible. They sit in the waiting room. Ruben is still in pain. The receptionist arrives after 15 minutes. Receptionist: I will need the name of the patient, the procedure and the doctor in charge. Carlos: the patient’s name is Ruben Sanchez; you should have the other details. We can’t lose any time this is outrageous! Receptionist: calm down, ok. I will look for the other details in our database. Dr Shepard walks through the reception for some paperwork and Ruben recognizes him. Ruben: Hey…, that’s him, I think that was the doctor who treated me. Receptionist: Are you sure? Ruben: I don’t remember well Carlos: You can’t expect him to answer you! He is in pain and has waited for too long can’t you just ask the doctor to confirm? By the time Dr. Shepard had already returned to his office. Receptionist: He already left, and he is busy, he can’t attend you right now. Dr. Shepard: The one leading that surgery was Doctor Smith, that’s not my responsibility. Secretary: But Dr. Smith doesn’t arrive until 5 pm and the patient needs help. Could you please at least go listen to him. Dr. Shepard: fine , let’s go. They walk to the reception to talk with the patient and his brother - In reception - Secretary: This is Dr. Shepard the one who assisted Dr, Smith in your surgery. Carlos: My brother was sent home yesterday saying he was out of danger as the operation went well and wasn’t complicated. But he began to present negative symptoms, and the doctor we visited near home told us the injury was infected and the procedure was done wrong. Dr. Shepard: I’m sorry to hear that, this is not my speciality, but Dr. Grey can check. Please sit here. Ruben: ok Dr. Grey: Good morning, it is infected indeed, but I have a surgery to attend right now I can’t stay here. Dr. Shepard: That’s right the doctor in charge is really Dr. Smith.
