CHAPTER I
INTRODUCTION
Since long time ago, communication has been used to make it easier for humans
to interact with each other for various reasons. Usually communication is used in social
life, politics, education, business and so on. In the era of very rapid technological and
industrial developments, many people have opened up business opportunities both on a
micro and international scale. Communication in the business world is very necessary
for the effectiveness of business operations.
On a micro scale businesses can be started by teenagers even if they are still in
school. The thought of getting a profit, experience or channeling a hobby to start a
business at a young age. In my neighborhood, teenagers open online selling businesses
by offering goods such as clothing, electronic devices, learning equipment and so on.
Naturally or influenced by the environment, they can communicate well and simply to
attract potential buyers.
In this mini-research study, the author conducted an environmental study that
focused on how teenagers do business communication to sell goods online. This
research is useful for obtaining information on how students do promotions, offer goods
and make deals with buyers.
This study aims to obtain information on how adolescents carry out business
communication to sell goods online. Teens make promotions, offer and make deals with
buyers. It can be seen how effective the communication is made by teenagers to make
their small business run.
CHAPTER II
A. Findings
The research was conducted on Wednesday, May 5, 2021. The object of the
research was third grade high school students. Doing online sales by offering various
items such as clothing, electronic equipment, and others. She offers goods using social
media like facebook and whatsapp. Most of the buyers are school friends, neighbors,
families. Sometimes the buyer is someone else that is not known. Here are some parts of
the communication used.

From the research above, it was found that teenagers made online sales using
social media such as Facebook and WhatsApp. The communication used is adjusted to a
language style that is more relaxed and comfortable because the dominant sales target is
peers of adolescents or other adolescents. When chatting with older people they will
adjust and convey sentences with more respect. However, that does not mean that they
do not respect their fellow adolescents, it's just that teenagers tend to like language
styles that are more comfortable according to them so that the communication
atmosphere is not too stiff.
