ABSRACT
We all need to develop all the different aspects of fitness, physical,
emotional, mental, social, and spiritual. As an individual we must focus first
in our physical fitness to perform well in our daily activities needed to
survive in this world. We all know how important the physical aspects are in
choosing an athlete or applying for a job.
In Physical Fitness test usually in junior high schoolwe have ample
time to complete all the given test, that’s why I decided to do this research
to improve the results of Physical Fitness Test of Grade 8students by adding
physical activities during their P.E. (Physical Education) time.

INTRODUCTION:

We define Physical Fitness as an abilty of an individual to do daily

task efficiently and effectively with alertness and vigor and some

extra reserve in case of emergency. Due to changes in technology

students now a days mostly spend their time playing with gadgets

which are not good ways to develop them physicaly, they spend

their times looking on their gadgets which cause them poor eye

sight and posture.We need to improve the level of each student’s

physical fitness for them to perform well not only in Physical


Education but also in their daily activities for their daily lives..This

study which responded by selected Grade 8 students of Muntinlupa

Business High School Main Junior High batch 2021-2022 will help as

to:

• Help our students to have better knowledge about Physical

Fitness

• Learn from the respondents about the changes after the

research

• Check the students’ improvement in physical fitness test.

These studies have ten selected grade five students from different

sections of Muntinlupa Business High School Main with the age

ranging from 14 to 15 years old. Survey was done in this study to get

the point of view of each of the respondents.

According to Socrates, “It is a disgrace to grow old through sheer

carelessness before seeing what manner of man you may become

by developing your bodily strength and beauty to their highest limit”

METHODOLOGY

In these study survey was used ten students who undergo additional

physical activities and stretching to improve their results in physical

fitness test. Respondents’ performance will serve as datas to

support the results. The researcher believes that this way of survey

will collect accurate and true datas.


In these study 5 students of grade ten aging 14-15 years old with

enough knowledge in Physical Fitness was selected to be

respondents

Additional physical activities and stretching, ten minutes before

their Physical Education time were given to them within two months

during their PE time, after the first results were recorded.

Physical fitness test results were used in this study. Before and after

the trainings was used to get datas from the respondents.

According to the collected datas five out of five students or I

can say 100% of the respondents improve in their physical

fitness tests results, after two months of additional physical

activities and stretching during their PE time

• Agilty test was done with hexagon agilty test

• Speed was measured by means of 40 meter sprint

• Flexibilty test was measured in sit and reach

CONCLUSION

According to the datas gathered after the additional

physical activities and stretching during their PE time all of the

five respondents improved in their physical fitness test namely

agilty, speed, and flexibility. All of them happily undergo

additional physical activity and stretchinf and want to pursue

what they have started.

RECOMMENDATION

In relation with this study I humbly recommend:

• Physical activities must be given more allotted time to

teach and train junior highschool students in our


country, for them to be developed in all aspects of life,

physical, emotional, mental, social and spiritual.

• Teachers of all subjects must encourage their students to

do more physical activities such as running and walking

instead of playing computer games and other gadgets.

• DepEd should launch more programs and advocacy

encouraging students to undergo Sports trainings and

lectures as part of preparation for the better future of our

students and produce more athletes.

• Physical fitness must be given an emphasise in teaching
