Manual for OpenLearning Account Registration

1. Open the OpenLearning registration page at openlearning.com/accounts/register/

2. Fill in your full name, profile name, email address and password
3. Check the box “I agree to the terms of service”
4. Click the “Create my account” button

5. Once you have created an account, OpenLearning will send you an email to confirm your account
6. Open your email and click the “Verify Email Address” button and it will direct you back to your OpenLearning
account setting

7. Below is the account setting page. Make sure your account is verified as in the figure below.

Manual for Account Information Update

1. Click on the profile button at the top right section of the page
2. Click the “My Profile” button

3. Point your cursor to the circle of the image profile. Click on the text “Change picture” and replace the profile
image with your picture

4. Scroll down and you can see the display page to edit user’s information
5. Fill in “Work Experience” section with your working experience that are related to the field (optional)
6. Fill in the “About Me” section as an introduction to the students. Information that can be filled in are like
profession, field of expertise, faculty or others
7. Fill in the “Education” section with your educational background

Manual to Join MOOC Ocean Remote Sensing towards Climate Resilience

1. Submit your registered email for OpenLearning account to the person in-charge (PIC) for MOOC “Ocean
Remote Sensing towards Climate Resilience”
2. Once the PIC has administered you as learner for the MOOC, you will get notified via email. The email will
appear as the figure 8 below.
3. Click on the blue link stated “OCEAN REMOTE SENSING TOWARDS CLIMATE RESILIENCE” and it will
direct you the landing page of the MOOC.

4. The display image below is how the landing page of the MOOC will look like
5. Log in to your account and it will automatically direct you into the platform

Important notes: The platform cannot be accessed until the course is online as scheduled on 21 February
2022.
