In the IELTS Speaking test, you will have an interview with a real life examiner.
The test last 11 – 14 minutes and is divided into 3 parts.
Part 1 : You answer questions about you and your everyday life
Part 2: You speak about a topic for 1 – 2 minutes
Part 3: You will have a longer discussion about the Part 2 topic.
Preparing for the IELTS Speaking Test
If you only had 15 minutes to prepare for the IELTS Speaking Test, I would
say the best thing you can do, is to do an IELTS Speaking Practice tests, like the
ones at the bottom of this page.

To prepare for IELTS Speaking, you should get familiar with the topics and
kinds of questions you will be asked in the test.
What’s more, you should practice speaking out your answers to those questions.
I do not recommend writing out your answer, and then reading it out, or
memorising it and then reciting it from memory.
That won’t work, and you will get a low score, because you need to speak natural,
conversational English in the IELTS Speaking test.
