What is a noun?
A noun is a word that names a person, place, thing, or an idea.
For example: Jeanne, Michelle, Cagayan, chair, boy, girl and others that can be
identified in our environment.
Nouns can be classified or categorized into a common noun, concrete nouns,
abstract nouns, proper nouns, mass nouns, collective nouns, and compound nouns.
We are going to discuss each of these categories of nouns in their individual
capacity.
Our first type is common noun.
Common nouns are names of ordinary objects. For example: stone, grass, chair

these words can be tricky. For example: toothpaste, haircut, bedroom, dry- cleaning,
daughter-in-law, and full moon
