About Us
SADRAG is a registered not-for-profit organisation. Incepted in the year 2004,
the organisation has primarily been working in Delhi and the districts Gautam Buddh
Nagar, Hapur and Ghaziabad in the state of U.P.

SADRAG envisions a world of dignity and self-respect - a World where all have
equal access to opportunities for participation in social and community life.

Our interventions span over four broad areas:

· Literacy & Education for children and adolescent youth and
strengthening the government school system
· Skill Development and Livelihood for youth and women in rural and
peri-urban communities
· Addressing Violence against Women and Safe City
· Social and economic development of the community

The Project Background:

The Government Primary & Middle School is situated in village Nithari, which is
next to Sector -31, Noida. It is spread over an area of 5,000 sq feet and is located on
one side of the village towards the District Government Hospital. The two schools,
Primary and Middle have separate buildings, situated within the same compound.
While the Primary school caters to Classes I to V, the Middle school is for classes VI
to VIII. These two schools come under the Samgra School system.

The school has a total strength of children as 550, both boys and girls across both the
schools. A total of 16 teachers are employed in the school.

The school has a total of 10 classrooms, 01 Principal room, 01 staff room and 01
activity room. There are two Aanganwadis, running within the school compound
under the Integrated Child Development Scheme, Govt. of India. These centres cater
to the educational and nutritional needs of children in the age group 3 to 6.

In terms of infrastructure, both the schools functioned from a dilapidated

buildings with broken non-plastered walls and badly painted windows and doors.
The iron almirahs were rusted and had no locking facility. For the provision of
drinking water, there was a hand pump with water unfit for drinking purposes. The
unhygienic condition of the toilets, poor sanitation and worn-out furniture were other
areas of concern.
In the above scenario, RMSI adopted the school in 2015-16 for a total
transformation under their CSR mandate. The condition of the school changed and it
was transformed into a neat place for children to play and study. The Smart Class
was set up in middle school, Computer Lab was set up in Primary wing, playing
equipment was set up, toilets were refurbished, the troublesome drain running across
the school was fixed, dustbins were constructed, the floor near RO room was
repaired, RO system was installed in strong brick and iron room. The school
functioned well with all the facilities.

Work done:

We have maintained and improved the infrastructure of the school by maintaining

the school ground, whitewashing and painting the classroom, enabling and installing
smart classes and teaching the teachers how to operate and use them effectively,
made separate toilets for girls and boys so that health and hygiene is maintained,

We have also ensured a clean water supply for the hardworking kids by installing
R.O water coolers
