DEFINITION
Environmental pollution is the presence of
substances or elements that are harmful to
humans and ecosystems (living beings).
There are different types of pollution, but
basically they can be divided into: air
pollution, soil (land) pollution and water
pollution.
The air you breathe is important for life on
Earth.
All living beings need this source of oxygen
to exist.
However, there are many elements that can
fill it with impurities that can cause
discomfort in people, plants and animals.
TYPES
• ATMOSPHERIC POLLUTION: it is one of
the most famous types of environmental
pollution. It occurs due to the emission of
chemical substances into the atmosphere that
directly affect air quality.
• WATER POLLUTION: This type of
environmental pollution directly affects animal
and plant species, as well as human beings,
since it converts drinking water into a resource
that is not suitable for consumption.
• SOIL POLLUTION: Once again the chemical
substances commonly used in intensive
agriculture are the cause of this type of
pollution. Although they are not the only ones.
• NOISE POLLUTION: If you live in a very
noisy neighborhood, near an airport, highways
