ENVIRONMENTAL
SINS
( By human activities and how to prevent it )
AIR POLLUTION Air pollution is a mixture of solid
particles and gases in the air. Car
emissions, chemicals from
factories, dust, pollen and mold
spores may be suspended as
particles. Ozone, a gas, is a major
part of air pollution in cities. When
ozone forms air pollution, it's also
called smog.
HUMAN ACTIVITIES PREVENTION

Planting factories and establishments Limit the planting process especially for
those establishment who create more
pollutant air.
Garbage Burning Try to be responsible. Use segregation
process

Smoke from vehicles Minimize the use of fuel powered car or
vehicles as much as possible
WASTE

Waste (or wastes) are unwanted or unusable materials. Waste is any

substance which is discarded after primary use, or is worthless, defective
and of no use. A by-product by contrast is a joint product of relatively minor
economic value.
HUMAN ACTIVITIES PREVENTION

Burning Rubbish  We can prevent pollution in burning wastes if the

biodegradable ones are dumped in a compost pit. The
non-biodegradables can be recycled as much as
possible.

Burying wastes  Burying waste can also be a good help in our soil as
they act as fertilizers but much of it isn't good. The
excess of buried waste can also contaminate the soil as
the chemicals mixed in it.

Usage of plastic film coverings in agriculture. • The disposal of these plastic coverings is a sore in the
eye. We can donate these in plastic recycling
companies.
FOOD CONSUMPTION
Household food consumption has
been defined as the total amount
of food available
for consumption in the household,
generally excluding the food taken
outside unless prepared at home.
HUMAN ACTIVITIES PREVENTION

Buying a lot of foods in restaurants • Just buy enough for yourself

Leftover foods in your house • Practice yourself giving excess food to

street children/ relatives/ neighbors/
pets.

Development are carried out by converting
DEVELOPMENT natural lands into a developed one.
Industrialization and urbanization are all part of it.
When we build dams, roads, buildings etc. we
usually remove the trees and plants, the wet
lands and all that serves the humanity with
essential commodities for every day life.
Every developmental activities affects natural
balance. Managing the use of natural resources,
protecting or conserving natures enable people
and communities to provide for their social,
economic and cultural well being and for their
health and safety by adopting methods that cause
least imbalance or negative impacts on nature.
HUMAN ACTIVITIES PREVENTION

Buying farmland for commercial • Preserved farm properties

buildings/development

Poor farming practices • Farm machinery, mechanical devices,

including tractors and implements, used
in farming to save labor. Farm machines
include a great variety of devices with a

Inappropriate irrigation • Reduce Site Water Requirements

The way we use resources provokes often
Resources irreversible ecological change. Extraction and
processing of non-regenerative raw materials
are often energy intensive activities involving
large scale interventions in ecosystems and the
water balance and result in air, soil and water
pollution.
Even the extraction and production of
renewable resources often involve extensive
use of energy, materials, chemicals and in
some cases water; and all this translates into
pollution. Greenfield land is often transformed
to create arable land and in some cases whole
ecosystems are destroyed in the process.
Human Activities Prevention

Oil mining • Minimize working quantities. Provide

secondary containment for containers of oil
that could potentially spill into the
environment.
Illegal logging • Spreading the word amongst your community,
and by ensuring that you support a political
group with good environmental policies.

Overusing energy • Try and depend more on renewable energy
sources. Use products that are more energy
efficient.
The Earth might seem like it has abundant
WATER USE water, but in fact less than 1 percent is
available for human use. The rest is either salt
water found in oceans, fresh water frozen in the
polar ice caps, or too inaccessible for practical
usage.
While population and demand on freshwater
resources are increasing, supply will always
remain constant. And although it's true that the
water cycle continuously returns water to Earth,
it is not always returned to the same place, or
in the same quantity and quality.
HUMAN ACTIVITIES PREVENTION

Being neglectful in water saving. • Repair the dripping faucet or report a broken
pipes, it is the cheapest way but so helpful.
Overuse of water; Misuse of water resources • Adequate management of water resources. Not
that leads to water scarcity. wasting a lot of water, use for the fair amount of
available water resources.
Making the water polluted; Throwing garbage • Proper waste disposal to have an available

Overpopulation is an undesirable
OVER POPULATION condition where the number of existing
human population exceeds the carrying
capacity of Earth.
Overpopulation is caused by number of
factors. Reduced mortality rate, better
medical facilities, depletion of precious
resources are few of the causes which
results in overpopulation
HUMAN ACTIVITIES PREVENTION

Poverty • Family Planning

Poor contraceptive use • be educated and settle when you’re rich,

do not build your own family when you
don’t have any.
Reduced mortality rates • be aware about the issue and think of
