PROGRAM OUTCOMES

Program Outcomes - The minimum standard for the BPEd program are expressed in the
following set of learning outcomes:

1. Common to all programs in all types of School.


The graduates have the ability to:
a. Articulate and discuss the latest developments in the specific field of practice.
(PQF level 6 descriptor)
b. effectively communicate in English and Filipino, both orally and in writing
c. Work effectively and collaboratively with a substantial degree of independence
in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams. (PQF. level 6 descriptor)
d. act in recognition of professional, social, and ethical responsibility
e. preserve and promote “Filipino historical and cultural heritage" (based on RA
7722)

2. Common to the discipline (Teacher Education)


a. Articulate the rootedness of education in philosophical, sociocultural, historical,
psychological and political context.
b. Demonstrate mastery of subject matter/discipline.
c. Facilitate learning using a wide range of teaching methodologies and delivery
mode appropriate to specific learner and their environment.
d. Develop innovative curricula, instructional plan, teaching approaches, and
resources for diverse learners.
e. Apply skills in the development and utilization of ICT to promote quality, relevant
and sustainable educational practices,
f. Demonstrate a variety of thinking skills in planning, monitoring, assessing, and
reporting learning processes and outcomes.
g. Practice professional and ethical teaching standards sensitive to the changing
local, national, and global realities.

experiential and field-based opportunities.

social, scientific, and economic world in the light of Biblical Prophecy.

effectively, to make wise choices and sound judgments and apply appropriate theoretical
knowledge to the solution of problems of life.

Developed appreciation for the best in nature, literature, music, and the other fine arts as
evidenced by discrimination in the choices of recreational activities and by the efforts exerted
in the development of talents in these areas.

Observed and practiced a balanced program of healthful living with emphasis on natural
remedies, proper diet, adequate rest and exercise, abundant use of water, air and sunlight, the
practice of temperance abstemiousness in all aspects of life and to accept the responsibility of
teaching the health truths to others.

Exhibited awareness of God given endowments and definite place are for these in the
betterment of humility by choosing a life work in harmony with their individual potential.

Developed respect for the dignity of labor by voluntarily engaging in productive manual work
with healthy self-image and 16 assessment; by demonstrating a sense of responsibility for
economic values by practicing economy in the use of materials, time, and other resources; and
by striving for excellence in workmanship in the execution of assigned tasks.
Learned to uphold the principles and standards of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in all
