INTRODUCTION
This Assessment Project is your major assessment task for the qualification. It gathers evidence
across the nine units of competency.

This Project will be completed based on a simulation project – The College Student Lounge Project.

You must successfully complete all parts of the project for each unit of competency.

If you are not sure about any aspect of this assessment, please ask for clarification from your
assessor.

You will:
Be allocated to a small project team from the group who will work together on
each stage of the project and take on roles as necessary as you progress. Your
team will collaborate, BUT you must each complete your own project documents.
CERTIFICATE IV in PROJECT MANAGEMENT PRACTICE - PROJECT

Access project documents and use project templates and workplace documents
to create your project documents.
You will build a suite of documents and data and other evidence all about your
project

Respond to Knowledge Activity questions. These questions and your answers

draw out detail of the project and your application of knowledge and skills for
each unit of competency and your learning from the participation in the project.

Report back, share information and present project updates to the assessor and
the group at various points and more formally at the end of the project. These
presentations will summarise the project you participated in and tell us about the
review and learnings from the project.

Marking guidance
You are participating in a group project. That is acceptable and expected but you must complete the
tasks yourself.

 Each component of the unit task must be completed and submitted and marked Satisfactory

 Each component of the written activity that goes with the unit task must be completed and
submitted and marked Satisfactory

 Each component of the final project presentation must be recorded as Satisfactory by the
assessor who will be observing the presentation.

Submission
See the delivery schedule and listen to the trainer explain the due date for this assessment.

You will be supplied with the templates in E Learn.

It is acceptable to prepare and capture all parts of your project using word processing or scanned
documents or other forms of technology. When you do this, you MUST name the files correctly for
the assessor who is going to open the files. You will submit by uploading your assessments in ELearn.

When you are completing the written questions under each task the answers may be short and you
can use bullet points if you wish. We expect under 200 words (½ page) per question.

Make sure that you complete and submit the assessment declaration each time the Project is handed
in.
