CROCHET PATTERN “Waldorf doll”

Waldorf doll – size 35 cm (14 in), if using sport weight yarn (Sport (12 wpi), 2: Fine).
Skill Level: Easy

Material:
 hook 2.0 and 6.0 mm  pink thread for the mouth
 soft stuffing  pins for sewing parts at the right spot
 scissors  needle for sewing
 2 safety black eyes 8 mm

beige (2 ball) 55% cotton / 45% acrylic

6020 – ALIZE Naturale 100 /200 49% wool, 24% cotton,

Boucle brown (50g) 24% acrylic, 3% polyester

Abbreviation:
sc - single crochet bo - bobble stitch – 5 Double crochet in the next
dc - double crochet stitch leaving last loop of each stitch, yarn over
ch – chain and pull through all loops on hook
inc – increase st(s) – stitch(es)
dec – decrease [] x …… - repeat the instructions in brackets for
sl st – slip stitch (x) the indicated number of times

Recommendations for you:

 Of course you can choose other yarns – the choice of yarn is completely up to you and your
personal taste.
 Work in continuous rounds. Do not join or turn unless otherwise instructed.
 It would be wise to use a stitch marker and place it in the first stitch of each round to mark the
beginning of it.
 You can easily sew the toy together by leaving a long tail of yarn on each piece.
 Before you sew a part, use some pins to perfectly place the part in the right place.

Skip 3-4 stitches behind the eye, then pull the needle back, behind the head.
Pull on both threads, fix with a knot, so that the eye is pulled inside the head.

Repeat the second eye.

If the tightening is weak, then repeat the action for both eyes again.

WIG: hook 6.0 mm

I use Alize nature boucle yarn, color – 6020, 100g/ 200mt (49% wool, 24% cotton, 24% acrylic, 3%
polyester) for the wig and hair.
Yarn wich may also work as hair for the waldorf doll:
- Mohair Boucle 50g/ 45mt (64% mohair, 27% wool, 9% polyamide)
- DROPS Alpaca Boucle 50g/ 140mt (80% alpaca, 15% wool, 5% polyamide)

First crochet a wig. Use a 6 mm hook to make the stitches visible.

If you use other yarn, as you crochet the wig, try it on the doll’s head so that it is not to small and
not to large. Crochet loosely to see the previous row and stitches. If the yarn is thick, crochet less
rows with increase.

Put the wig on the head. Spread the

wig evenly on the head with pins.

HAIR:

I attach the hair through one row and through one stitch, then the hairstyle is fluffy. The greater the
distance between the stitches, the less fluffy the hairstyle.
Cut the thread 32 cm long, fold it in half and tie a knot on the wig.
Attach all the threads on the wig in a circle.

Fold the ear in half and sew the hole

(as shown in the photo).

Use the pins to choose a suitable

Sew the ears to the head (as shown in
the photo).

With pink color draw the cheeks.
