This poem is a satirical adaptation of Sir Muhammad Iqbal’s famous poem “The
Devil’s Conference, where Satan and his Councilors are discussing the dangers
posed by Bitcoin to the carefully crafted system of financial exploitation they have
setup over the centuries, and how Bitcoin is that truly fair monetary system which
all religions envision for a just world, and the Devil tries to avoid.

I showed the colonists how to keep their hold with fiat currency hold, and broke the spell of gold and silver

I fooled people with just pieces of paper, I converted the generous and content into greedy capitalists

Who can protect himself from this financial exploiation, a system whose veins are nourished by Satan’s blood

A system whose tentacles are gambling, usury, and taxation, who can dare weaken or damage this vicious scheme

No doubt, this system is working flawlessly, we have made all of humanity slaves of the monthly salary

The poor, the downtrodden are destined to work jobs and take loans, unaware of self-sufficiency and entrepreneurship

First, there never arises any desire in them to change their situation, and even if it comes, they never pull through

This is for our tiresome efforts, that today both the Scholars and the Mystics are customers of Banks

The complacent Eastern societies readily agreed that the Banking Charter can overthrow the natural order of sound money

Who cares if the scholarly texts still capture the true rules of exchange, the currency of gold and silver has gone long since

The hopeless of the situation is evident enough by the fact that Legal Tender laws have outlawed adoption of the Sunnah Currency

I am aware, but my foresight suggests that we must not fear what is just a veneer on the same of usury

We ourselves gave banking an Islamic garb, when son of Adam started realizing its against their religion

The spirit of the usurious system remains intact, even if european terminology is replaced with Arabic

Whether interest is plainly obvious, or hidden in Organized ‘Tawwarruq’, it is all the same as long as it exploits the poor

No doubt the spirit of exploitative capitalism remains intact, but what about these Gold currency activists

Although interest is embedded in the issuance of paper currency, a fact that has decieved and defeated all the scholars

But these gold activists can see through how IMF enforces paper currencies, they are threatening our fundamental tenet

What can be a more revolutionary idea than this, that we break the central bank and adopt gold as a currency

You can see a remedy to them in these Shariah Advisors, who still dream of a halal way of simulating interest

They will forever remain latched to the core spirit of banking and money creation, and keep the whole system sanctioned and secure

Oh you, who gives gives strength to this system, who created all these twisted derivatives and contracts

IMF and World Bank are your inspirations, you make the misguided economists think they are smart

You are more aware of the inner nature of humans than that God who is so popular among the simpletons

You defeated those who meant to implement the religious tenets of sound money and fair distribution of wealth

Although the trustees of conventional wisdom are all your followers, I doubt their capabilities anymore

Can they counter the thought of Mises and Hayek, who have shaken the foundations of paper currency

People have started minting their gold and silver coins, slowly they will change the medium of exchange

Gradually, this awareness is spreading among all people, which we thought was a mere bump on the road

I fear the future where everyone understands the real causes of this wayward inflation

My lord, I fear destruction of the system we carefully built on the percieved value of the paper Dollar

The havoc caused by fractional reserve banking, cannot be countered by a few coins of gold

I am not afraid of the veracity of a few poor, destitute scholars, whom no one listens to

But yes, there is one that terrifies me: that unknown founder of a new, free, medium of exchange

I know the colonization of their minds is so complete that they faithfully follow the dictum of western economics

I fear the tenets of the Prophet’s (sm) religion, which accomodates change and embraces the modernity of Bitcoin

All the money multiplier financial gambling houses I had created, are trumped by this 21 million limit

It keeps the blockchain pure, unaltered and distributed, it makes everyone custodion of his own wealth

What’s a bigger blasphemy in financial ideology than that the world does not need legal tender laws!

We must make the world think its simply a tool of crime and money laundering; already it’s a boon that Muslims don’t believe in it

Best to keep their hopes hitched on Islamic Banking, and keep them confused about the tangibility and instrinc value debates

Let them ignore Bitcion’s record return-on-investment, and keep them fearful of its total eventual collapse

Keep them debating if Satoshi was real or a conspiratorial façade, let them ignore that the code is all open source

Keep them convinced that the financial system is a necessary evil, that governments cannot run without fiat

Is it not enough that Muslims keep worshipping the idols of this existing, interest-based currency system

You keep him far, far away from ‘The Bitcoin Standard’, keep helpless against the onslaught of inflation

And if they become aware of Bitcoin, divert them to other centralized or scam tokens, to De-Fi, to NFTs

It is best they shift focus to Blockchain as a technology, overshadowing its paramount implementation: Bitcoin

We must keep their scholars focused on theological semantics, and the intelligentsia entrenched in conventional economics
