how to develop a Business Plan. The step-by-step procedure is very
important in creating your own business plan. The parts of the business
plan need to be known, understood, and remembered so that it is easier for
you to develop your own business plan.

The module is divided into one lesson only, namely:

This lesson covers the whole parts of a Business Plan. Arrange from the first
part down to the last part. It consists of 10 main parts. It is simplified so
that you can directly understand and construct your own parts. Samples
are given.

Developing a business plan is creating your own business ideas based on


the parts and what business you are into. Formulating your own concept of
products whether it is food or merchandise and whatever services you would
like to venture.

To start a business of your own it is very important to develop a Business


Plan since it will be your basis in running and managing your own business.

It will serve as your guide for a thorough operation of the business. It gives
you a blueprint of what your business will be.

MAIN PARTS
1.Executive Summary
This is the first part of the Business Plan. In writing your executive
summary you must consider that you are selling your thoughts and ideas to
the readers so make it attractive and gain or capture the interest of the
readers. Make it 3-4 paragraphs. The contents are the following:

a. The name of the Business and business logo


b. Biography of the owner
c. The history of the business itself why you come up with the business
concepts and ideas.
d. a brief detail of the products or services to be sold and rendered to
the community.
e. Vision and Mission of the business (objectives and goals whether
short term and long-term goals.
f. location of the business
g. and the highlights and summary of each part of the business plan.

2. Overview of the Business


This part consists of the complete details of the products and services of the
business. The ingredients or materials being used, the packaging, the
texture or size, odor, the quality, benefits of the products or services, its
unique features and why it is different from other products or services.

3.Problem Statement:
This part pertains to the description of the problem/need being addressed
to, as well as the reasons/rationale why the problem/need must be
addressed by the business and the descriptions on how the business has
solved the problem/need.
4.Statement of Vision, Mission and Values

VISION
It is a description or statement of what the proponent sees if the
problem/need is solved.

MISSION
It is a clear description of goals and objectives that presents practical steps
to achieve the vision.

VALUES
It is a clear statement of values critical to the culture, integrity, and
activities of the business.

product. My pastries will be one of the most delicious in our community.
MISSION
The mission of my business is to provide my customers with delicious and
tasty breads that will make them contentment and satisfaction.
VALUES
The goodwill of the business will be forever remembered and practiced by
our employees and throughout our management. love, passion and
sincerity as well as hard work, perseverance will prevail.

5.The Marketing Plan


A. Research and Analysis
It is a description of the target market, market size, competition, market
share and market trends.
B. Marketing Strategies
This includes the Four P’s – price, promotion, product, and place or often
called as “marketing mix”.4 Ps are the four essential factors in marketing
goods or services to the public. The Four P’s all work together to reinforce
the positioning strategy which is based upon what your target customer
wants or needs.
How do the 4 P’s Work?
Product
As one of the marketing strategies wherein we need to study and take
consideration on the Product life cycle since it really affects sales. And also,

the behavior of the product. Product as part of the research must be based
on the needs of the community and on trends in the market to gain more
buyers or consumers.
Price
Is the cost of product or services. Marketers must base and calculate the
products or services real price and its value and consider competitor’s price
and seasonal discounts.
Promotion
As one of the marketing mixes, that captures the interest of the consumers.
Choosing the best promotions of the product or services lies the percentage
revenues earned. In choosing the best promotion it needs to be based on the
capacity resources of the business itself.
Place
Strategic place and location of the business is much advantageous to
acquire more buyers and more sales. Accessible places and areas of the
business must be considered by the marketers.

COST + MARKED UP PRICE = SELLING PRICE
Volume of production/the number pieces of production

COST is the summation of all the expenses created.


Marked up is the difference between a product's selling price and cost.
Multiply it by 100 to get the percentage, for example, if a product sells for
$125 and costs $100, the additional price increase is ($125 – $100) / $100)
x 100 = 25%.
Selling price is the final price of the product or services. The quotient of the
cost+markup/volume of production.
