Module 1: Introduction to Entrepreneurship

Content Standard: The learner demonstrates understanding of key concepts, underlying principles,
and core competencies in Entrepreneurship.

Performance Standard: The learner independently creates/provides a quality and marketable


product and/or service in Entrepreneurship as prescribed in the TESDA Training Regulation.

Specific Objectives: At the end of the semester, the students are expected to:
1. Discuss the relevance of the course;
2. Explain the key concepts of common competencies;
3. Explain the core competencies in Entrepreneurship
4. Research on current and relevant job opportunities for entrepreneurship
5. Create/provide a quality and marketable product and/or service in Entrepreneurship as
prescribed in the TESDA Training Regulation.

Day 1

A1: General Instruction (Big Group Activity) - 10 minutes

Note: Divide the class into 10 groups. From the list below, assign each group with one topic. Remind
the students to focus on the guide questions during their brainstorming and to be creative in their
reporting by using the following creative presentation: success story, documentaries, talk show, short
skit, and infomercial.

Note: The students will be given a copy of the PECs. They will accomplish and interpret the result of
the questionnaire. This will be written in one whole.

Day 4

A10: Lecture – Teacher Input (Big Group Activity) – 30 minutes

A11: Finalization of Business Innovation (Small Group) - 15 minutes

Note: From the students output on Day 2 (On business innovations), let the students finalize their
business innovation proposal which should articulate the following features:
 The type of business ownership for the business innovation
 The management concepts to be used for the business innovation

The final output to be presented should include the following explanations on:
 Why they opted to use that type of business ownership?
 Why they decided to use those management concepts?

Day 5

A12: General Instruction (Big Group Activity) - 10 minutes

Note: Each Group will be given 10 minutes for the presentation. Five groups will present on day 5
and the remaining groups on day 1. Before the presentation, remind the students that they will be
evaluated using the scoring rubric below. A man who thinks impurely against his neighbor is worse
than its victim. Be careful how think.
