Course Description Tired of a project delay, a budget overrun, and complaints about the product quality? If
the answer is "YES", then, this course might be for you.
This course is designed to capture basic concepts and tools whose use will enhance the
successful management of a project in general businesses. It also goes beyond the
management of a project and addresses the strategic aspect of project management. Topics
will include an introduction to project management, a systems approach to project
management, project planning (time planning, cost planning, etc.), and others. The
objective is to get insight into the strategic view of project management and learn
quantitative and qualitative methods that are necessary for successful project
management.
Learning Objectives This course provides basic project management knowledge to the students in the
& Goals business program. It contributes to the achievement of learning goal L5-1 for 2-years
MBA and JGDP students.
The best way to learn Project Management is to practice it! So, in each session, the
format will be a workshop-style where the students will learn the concepts first and then
apply them through in-class assignments. This course has a strong emphasis on
teamwork and a significant amount of interaction is expected during lectures, in-class
assignment discussions, and team project presentations.
