I. Course Number: Education 210

II. Nomenclature: Comparative Education

III. Course Credit: 3 units---3 hrs per week-- 54 hrs. per semester/summer

IV. Course Description:

This is a one of the cognate subjects in the Master of Arts in Education, major in
Educational Management. It equipped students with the different knowledge through the salient
features of the different educational system in foreign countries. To include its form of
government including the opportunities and privileges offered, its population and the lifestyle of
the populace.
V. COURSE OBJECTIVES: Before the end of the semester/summer, the students are expected
to:

1. Understand the significance of the different Educational System and its relation to the
country’s progress.

2. Acquire knowledge relevant to the educational structure of the different countries.

3. Compare the educational system of the different foreign countries to the educational
system we have in the Philippines.

4. Discuss how its culture affect its progress in the world of education.

5. Make conjectures on how to make the educational system of the Philippines


progressive.
