U nknown to many, the DepEd Zambales, even before the burst

of pandemic, has already battling with the formidable chal-
lenges in the delivery of quality education. These daunting
trials have been supported by the undeniably courageous and diligent
people of the division – the Non-Teaching Personnel.

In scenarios like achievement of exemplary rate of literacy and

promotion, and completion of students’ educational requirements, com-
mendations and applause are automatically recognized to the faculty
alone by the parents and community. So when shocks and aftershocks of
pandemic hit Zambales, it paved a way to appreciate the silent efforts of
all school educators and professionals including the non-teaching staff.

N – Nature-Lover
Since we stayed at home most of the time, many people diverted their hobby in
improving their gardens, replanting of ornamental plants and trees on their orchard and even
selling these plants online. We tend to appreciate the nature and utilized our vacant time in a
worthwhile activity.

E – Empathetic
Many were greatly affected emotionally by the coming of pandemic but we shared
our time to comfort each other despite the distance. Grateful to have phone we were able to
connect with our loved ones. This is the simple thing we can do to uplift the spirit of some who
needs care and comfort.

M – Motivated
With our courage to continue living our lives despite the hindrances of pandemic,
we are still motivated to overcome the great trial. As we acknowledge guidance, we continue
to believe that we can surpass each day.
I – Initiative
When pandemic started to create chaos in our world, we have prepared ourselves to be
healthier and fit as our initiative to combat viruses. We became health conscious for we know it is from
ourselves who will start to fight the forces of various viruses. Proper intake of medicines coupled with
eating nutritious foods, proper hygiene by observing protocols, wore mask and face shields are just
some of our ways to hurdle the deadly COVID.

C - Courage, Care and Creativity

People continue to believe that there will be better days ahead of us. We continue to care not
only for ourselves but also for others. We appreciated our frontliners as they do heroic deeds each day.
More people became creative and inventive because they have enough time to do it.

Parents are one of the school partners in the development of a variety of school programs and initiatives. They are known

I am a Teacher
ANNE KAYE P. MARTINEZ, Teacher III
Candelaria School of Fisheries
I am a teacher, But I hope, with my strength
I am not a doctor, I can show you of what you are meant
To cure you of your sick and ills,
But I hope, with you, I am a teacher,
I can cure what our world feels. I am not a marketing analyst, VOL X
Nor a manager of a firm,
No. 01
I am a teacher, But I hope, with this wisdom,
I am not an engineer, I can manage you to soar and learn.
Who will build you sturdy houses, nor a palace for kings,
But I do, hope in time, you’ll realize, I am a teacher,
I can give you roof to shelter your mind. I am not wealthy for earthly stones and gems,
Nor could I be famous with just my meek face,
I am a teacher, But I do know, and you all know,
I am not a nurse, Without a teacher, one cannot grow or go someplace.
Who will care for you when you are sick,
But I hope with this piece, I am a teacher,
I can give a place not to be weak. And a teacher I will always be.
One you can turn to, whatever that may be,
I am a teacher, That’s who I am, and I’m mostly proud to be,
I am not an architect, For simple as I am,
Who will draw you an excellent blueprint, But I affect eternity.

‘Pagkat bantog at palasak
At kunting tiis pa at tumahan
Patuloy kang lumalaban at umaasa
Makinig sa aking hinawa At ‘di dumadagdag sa kasalukuyang problema.
Maging puso ko’ y may dawis
Hindi na makaya ang pag-uumyak nitong dibdib,
Ibig ng magbanat ng buto,

Suhay
LYRA CASTILLO HONRADO, Senior High School Teacher III
New Taugtog National High School
