manual packaging materials and keep them out
of the reach of children.

Note:
• This manual provides the illustrations of the
accessory parts and machine that may be
slightly different in shape from yours. In that
case, instead of the illustrations, use the
appearance of your machine to follow the
installation procedure. This does not cause any
significant change or problem with the proce-
dure.
• If the mount kit MK-738 and fax kit FK-512 are
to be mounted at the same time with the local
interface kit EK-P01, mount the local interface
kit EK-P01 first.

2. Installation procedures (6) Remove the filter from the back of the main body.

(1) Turn OFF the power switch and unplug the


power cord from the power outlet.
(2) Open the packing carton of each option and take
out the accessory parts.
(3) Remove the cord clamp if used to secure the
power cord of the main body. (One screw)
(4) Unplug the power cord from the main body.

(7) Remove the rear cover. (Five screws)


Note:
Remove the screw A shown in the illustration only
if step (3) is not executed.

Remove the rear left cover. (Two screws)

(8) Remove the knockout shown in the illustration


from the rear cover.

<For C3850/C3350>
Remove the rear left cover. (One screw)

(9) Open the front door and remove the left cover. b) Remove two screws and move the exit tray of

Do not pull the exit tray with an excessive force, as
a connector is connected.

When moving the aligning plate, apply your finger
to the bottom plate of the aligning plate. For fear of Connector
damage, do not hold onto the standing portion of
the aligning plate.

(11) Remove the shield plate. (18 screws)

(12) Remove the screw shown in the illustration


from the MFP board.
