II. OBJECTIVES
 To help the students appreciate the cultural diversity of each nation;
 To help students develop self - confidence;
 To instill the value of camaraderie and friendship among classmates
and the school community;
 To maintain international peace and security;
 To help the students appreciate the significance of knowing where we
came from and how we were molded into the society we are today;
and
 To show an overview of different countries in one presentation;

1. Search for Mr. or Ms. United Nations 2022

 Mechanics

 This activity is open to all ASMA students.


 Each section will choose one(1) representative.
 Each class will have to pick one(1) country that they will be presenting
for the Search for Ms. or Mr. United Nations 2022.
 Each representative should be dressed in their country’s national
costume.
 Each representative should make sure that they will be wearing a
decent national costume, not the sexy one.
 Each representative should be able to prepare a talent.
 GUIDELINES:
 Elimination process will happen. In choosing the magic
seven, the first seven participants with the highest
score in presenting their national costume and talents
will proceed to the Q and A Round where winners
will be chosen.
 Major and Minor Awards shall be given on the following
aspects:
i) Best in Talent
ii) Best in Production Number
iii) Darling of the Crowd
iv) 2nd Runner - Up
v) 1st Runner - Up
vi) Ms. or Mr. United Nations 2022

2. Doodle - Making
( It is incorporated as the Mini Performance Task No. 01 for AP 9 and AP 10)

 Mechanics

 This is an individualized educational activity.


 The contest is open to all ASMA Grade 9 and Grade 10 Students.
 One (1) participant per section.
 Each participant should submit one (1) entry only.
 The poster must illustrate, interpret and emphasize the theme of “
United Nation 2022: Potential in Diversity”.
 The poster must be done in free hand using his/her own materials:
 The following materials will be used in the contest:
 1/8 (one-eight) illustration board (white background) and a pencil.
Things to be used are to be provided by the contestants.)
 The masterpiece should be in black and white only.
 Use of other materials not specified above is strictly prohibited.
 The students’ raw entries will be evaluated via Genyo, through
Teacher’s and Grade 9 Students’ votes on September 24 – 26, 2022.
Hence, it will serve as the basis of the final evaluation.
 The three(3) entries with most number of votes will be posted through
the bulletin board and Genyo as (1st, 2nd and 3rd placer).
 The winners will receive Certificates of Recognition and assorted school
supplies.
 All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation for actively
participating in the said activity

3. UN Quiz Bee
( It is incorporated as the Mini Performance Task No. 01 for Araling Panlipunan
Subjects.)

 Mechanics

 This contest is open to all JHS students of Academia de San Miguel


Arcangel.
 There will be five(5) teams and each team will be composed of one(1)
student per grade level.
 The Quiz Bee is divided into three (3) categories: Easy Round, Average
Round, and Difficult Round.
 Each round will have 10 questions.
 For the Easy Round, every question is worth 5 points. For the Average
Round, 10 points. And for the Difficult Round, 20 points.
 Each team will prepare 1/8 illustration board (use the black portion),
chalk and eraser.
 At the end of each category, the cumulative score of each team will be
computed.
 Questions during each category will be limited to fifteen(15) seconds
per answer.
 Automatically, the respective time limit for each round will begin with the
word “GO” by the Quiz Master.
 After the time and the buzzer sounds, the team should stop writing and
raise their cards. The answer of the team violating this rule will be
considered void.
 The team that scores the highest wins the UN Quiz Bee and will be
hailed as the ASMA UN Quiz Bee Champion.
 Questions will come from different Social Studies concepts: Asian
History, World History, Economics, and Contemporary Issues. The
books that are currently being used by the ASMA in the AP subject will
serve as the basis of all the questions in the contest.
 Please take note that this contest will happen prior to the Search for Ms.
or Mr. United Nations 2022.

 Announcement and Awarding of Winners in each activity will be on September


27, 2022 at exactly 4:20 – 4:30 PM at the Michaelian Covered Court.
 All winners will receive Certificates of Recognition and assorted goods as reward.
 All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation.
 AGAPE will follow right after the United Nation Culmination.
 These are the following proposed food for the Agape good for each classroom:
 Burger
 Orange Juice
 For the Agape, students are required to bring their own plastic cups.
 Each section will be occupying one(1) table.
 Nota Bene: For the month of September, the Travelling Bugs will be playing a
song in different languages each day. The students will then be guessing the
country. Instead of writing their name as the participant, they will be writing the
name of their section instead. The section who will be getting the highest score at
the end of the month will receive a special reward.
