Event Summary Wakefield,VA
WEATHER FORECAST OFFICE

 Northeast winds of 10 to 15 mph will gust to 25 mph today along the coast
behind departing coastal low.Waves will build to 7 to 10 feet today along the
coast as swells from the coastal low and distant Hurricane Earl reach the
coast.

 Minor to locally moderate tidal flooding is expected across the Bay, tidal
rivers and coast during times of high tide through Friday. Some locations may
approach moderate flood levels Thursday night into Friday.

 Shallow flooding in the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront and
shoreline resulting in a low threat of property damage. In areas which
approach moderate flood levels over one foot of inundation is possible in
vulnerable locations.

beaches today.

 Additional flooding is possible into this


coming weekend.

 Tides peaking with high tide cycles late


today into Friday. A few location could
approach MODERATE flood levels tonight
into Friday.
