My Ideas and Knowledge about Laboratory

Chem 100 BL – Assignment #1

The term "laboratory" is not a common name for me. I've heard that name a lot of times
before I even had the opportunity to meet one. My basic understanding of a laboratory is that it is
a location where all experiments take place. It is a place filled with knowledgeable people
dressed in white robes. It's a glassware haven where you'll need to keep an eye out and be extra
cautious with your movements. I have also read about it and have encountered the term "MSDS,"
which stands for Materials Safety Data Sheet. From my own understanding, I can say that this
sheet is full of instructions and details about the materials and chemicals inside the laboratory.

Back then, I never considered the laboratory to be a joyful and enjoyable place, because
who would love a place where your activities are constrained, and you must always be
disciplined? But as I grew older and understood more about it, I realized that the laboratory
wasn't all that horrible. The laboratory is the most interesting place in any school or campus for
me because it is not only where important products such as alcohol and soap are formulated, but
it is also full of high-tech and modern gadgets with their own distinct functions, and luckily for
me, I enjoy learning about new and advanced things.

For me, the laboratory is, without a doubt, one of the most significant facilities ever
devised. It has helped millions of individuals make their lives easier and more secure.
Unfortunately, most of these fortunate folks have just ignored its worth. It is an irrefutable reality
that laboratories are underestimated in our community, and as a result, I want to behave as I
should, which is to give it prominence since it truly deserves to be recognized by the people.

As a medical technology student together with the assistance of my professors and

instructors, I think that I will be able to learn more about the laboratory and the equipment
located inside it. Right now, I am extremely thrilled to join the lab in order to learn more about it
and to gain hands-on experience working in a laboratory, as I have never worked in a legitimate
laboratory before. This year will be my chance to experience being in a legitimate laboratory and
to learn more about its importance.

I'm looking forward to viewing and handling the elements within the laboratory during
my first semester as a MedTech student because I've never done so before. I'm looking forward
to seeing myself, my students, and my lecturer engage and get things done within the laboratory.
My expectation for this session is to learn more about the laboratory components and to meet
some scientist inside the laboratory.
