Kindly bring out your paper and pencil for a dictation exercise. Listen
attentively. Pupils will raise their paper if done.

B. LESSON PROPER

persuasive writing.
b. Explain that they will be writing a persuasive essay on this topic with their
parent or guardian as their audience.

2. DISCUSSION
A Persuasive Essay must have the following:
1. Introductory Paragraph- here an argument must be stated
2. Persuasive Words- I think..., I believe..., Some believe that..., in my
opinion, I feel that, surely, for this reason, I’m sure that, It is certain,
etc..should be used in stating the opinion or point of view
3. Evidence-tell factual details that explain why your point is right
4. State your reasonsfor and against.
5. Questions- must be asked to make your reader keep thinking.
Example:

Controversial Statement: CoVid-19 Mass Testing should be done now!

Significant Opinion: Some people believe that CoVid-19 Mass Testing is


needed to identify who among the citizens need to be quarantined to avoid the
spread of the virus.

3. GENERALIZATION

What makes a successful Persuasive writing?

Directions: Rewrite the guided essay to make a complete and clear persuasive
essay. Use the Guide questions in Activity 2 Start up.

KEYNOTES: Let the child answer the guide questions to come up with
his/her personal point of view. Paraphrase the questions for them if they
seem difficult for their understanding.
