Executive Summary
We can notice the Export Promotion Bureau in this report. The reporting period covered the
months of July through June of 2017 and 2022 and contained country-specific commodity data.
We are working with five countries they are -

• Finland

• France

• Fiji

• Gabon

• Georgia

This research reveals that:

• The countries to whom the goods were exported

• The cost of the exported good

• What products were exported in which year, and what were their values? They fluctuate from time
to time, but they might also stay the same.
• By comparing the data throughout time, we may determine Bangladesh's precise export condition.
• For those exporting nations, Bangladesh's profits varied greatly from year to year.

Introduction
Export is one of the most important aspects of international commerce since it greatly safeguards
a nation's economic status. Both established and emerging countries are always attempting to
increase their exports in an effort to build and expand their economies. Export, in its broadest
sense, refers to the shipping of products, commodities, and services from one nation to another for
the purpose of future commerce. Every government adopts export-optimizing strategies and
policies. The causes include an increase in competitive advantage, the level of life, and foreign
currency reserves, among others.

Origin of the report

This term paper is the result of our academic study for the International Business (ITB 301) course,
in which we are mostly interested in "product-by-product export analysis of Finland, France, Fiji,
Gabon, and Georgia." We made every effort to collect as much information as possible and to
adhere to the guidelines of our esteemed course teacher.

Objective of the study

The primary objective of this term paper is to examine the exports of certain items from these
nations. The following are a few of the objectives:

• To examine the export rate of a number of top-selling items

• Graphs are used to show data.
• Utilizing data from the preceding several years.
• Comparing the export rate between one year and the next.
• Comparative analysis of nations
• Observing and documenting changes

Scope of the study

The primary emphasis of this study is a product-by-product examination of exports from these
nations. Specifically, we have collected data over many years and shown it in this paper. Year-to-
year and international comparisons.

Limitation of the study
Due to time constraints, it was not feasible to emphasise several issues or do significant research.
Due to the fact that we are not experts and are working on "Export analysis" for the first time, you
may be able to see our inexperience in this instance. The constraints of this term paper are the
absence of significant resources and the avoidance of direct interviews with some professionals.

Methodology of the study

As our report is primarily based on secondary data. We gather information from the internet. We
did our best to gather and offer the most up-to-date information on Export analysis of Bangladesh.

2017-2018 2018-2019 2019-2020 2020-2021 2021-2022

Here, we can see the graph of total exports of Georgia for five fiscal years. Georgia had some ups
and downs between these five fiscal years. From the graph we can see that it had increased
drastically during 2018-2019 and continued to rise till 2019-2020, then it decreased awfully due
to covid during 2020-2021, then it started to climb up during the fiscal year of 2021-2022. For the
year of 2017-2018, the total exports of Georgia were USD 13,47,802.78$. Georgia exported USD
23,66,472.63$ in 2018-2019, which means that it had a 75.58% increase from the fiscal year of

country exported a total amount of USD 44,42,662.77$ between the fiscal year of 2019-2020. it
was USD 20,76,190.14$ more than the previous fiscal year and an increase of 87.73% from the
previous year. Surprisingly, the pandemic did not affect Georgia during this time.

From the graph, we can see that the exports of Georgia started to decrease drastically during 2020-
2021. Because of the pandemic situation, total export decreased by this huge amount of number.

Findings
2017-2018 Export totalled $33153301.44, 2018-2019 Export totalled $3957104.72, 2019-2020
Export totalled $34712379.65, 2020-2021 Export totalled $34322435.09, and 2021-2022 Export
totalled $41033737.68. In 2021-2022, the biggest export to Finland was $41033737.68, which is
notably high compared to preceding years. The lowest export value for 2017-2018 was
$33153301.44. From 2017 to 2022, several export baskets from Bangladesh to France are shown
below. There were several product types within each category. However, for the sake of ease, we
chose to condense the product list into a few categories. Bangladesh's textile and apparel industries
have traditionally been well-known for their excellence. This may be seen with the aid of export
data. In the provided export statistics, the Textiles Industry ranks first with an average export value
of $2,001,734,267.62. The Leather/Skin/Fur/Cotton industries come in second with an average
export value of $78,160,693.80. The chemical industries, which include pharmaceutical and
machinery firms, have the lowest export values. Their respective average exports are $164,257.58
and $550,352.20. The graphs below provide further industry and export specifics for goods
shipped to France during the last five fiscal years. Observed here is a modest change in exports
throughout the 2019-20 fiscal year. And the primary reason for this was the COVID-19 pandemic's
spike. After that, however, Bangladesh was able to regain its exports to France. It climbed
progressively and peaked in 2021-22 with total exports of $2,711,087,65. In 2019-2020, Fiji
exported a total of $26,37,711.47 USD worth of goods. As a result of the pandemic, overall exports
declined by USD 1,71,481.87 compared to the previous fiscal year, a loss of 5.63 per cent. Even
though the pandemic hit every nation during the 2020-2021 fiscal year, Fiji was able to increase
its overall exports somewhat. Most nations established temporary limitations on the export of
products between nations. However, Fiji's overall exports climbed marginally to USD 3,4755.59.
Compared to the previous fiscal year, the number grew by around 1.32 per cent. In 2019-2020,
Gabon exported a total of $3,65,940.58 USD worth of goods. As a result of the epidemic, exports
declined by a certain amount. It was USD 1,33,455, a decrease of 33 dollars from the previous
fiscal year and a decrease of 26.72% from the preceding year. The majority of nations implemented
temporary limitations on exporting commodities from one country to another, which led to a
decline in Gabon's overall exports. From the graph, we can see that Gabon's exports began to surge
to the top during the 2020-202 fiscal year, relative to the preceding fiscal years. This indicates that
Gabon has recovered from the epidemic and is exporting more. Throughout the year, Gabon

increased its overall exports and began to recover from the epidemic. The overall exports of Gabon
climbed significantly to 11,653,67 USD. The number increased by around 218.44% compared to
the previous year. We can observe that it climbed dramatically in 2018-2019 and continued to
grow through 2019-2020, then declined considerably owing to covid in 2020-2021, and then began
to rise again in 2021-2022. Georgia's total exports during 2017-2018 amounted to USD
13,47,802.78. In 2018-2019, Georgia exported USD 23,66,472.63, representing a 75.58 percent
growth compared to 2017-2018. In the 2019-2020 fiscal year, Georgia maintained its exportation
momentum. During the 2019-2020 fiscal year, this nation exported a total of 44,42,662.77 dollars.
It was USD 20,76,190.14 higher than the previous fiscal year, representing an increase of 87.73%.
Surprisingly, Georgia was not affected by the epidemic at this time.

Conclusion
Exporting is a job in international commerce involving the distribution of goods to foreign
consumers. After analysing the product-specific export rates of Finland, France, Fiji, Gabon, and
Georgia, we can conclude that, from 2017 to 2022, the export rate of each nation has fluctuated in
relation to each product. Whereas some nations had superior and more constant performance,
others saw significant variations that harmed their exports and standing in international commerce.
This report provides an excellent comparison of these five nations.
